Looks incredible, only problem I have with this is that the shading for literally every object is controlled by some mystery value in its respective node tree. Goo Engine would be nice to use but this is still a good approach, offers more control over shadows. Keep it up.

Very nicely done! Have you experimented with keeping the animation key frames on Constant interpolation and warping the meshes slightly each movement (perhaps with a (not sure how to call it) distortion field) to sell the 2d look even more? I think the look is fantastic but with a few tweaks to animation it could look even more convincing in motion. Total noob here, just curious if you have experience trying to make the 3d completely indistinguishable from 2d, specifically in motion. That is what I would like to achieve someday. Very inspiring, please continue your journey.

I tried many things multiple times, like distorting meshes with modifier to get inconsistent shape effect like usual 2d, and shape keys (which works the best for me). Yeah, I have to animate the shape keys separately but it's not hard or time consuming like 2d.

Well I explained in the video, I created another layer and turn every other collection to holdout. And using different lights for tomato 🍅.

I think you have to do some course about that, Organic modeling is something which is really hard the best thing to do is sculpt the model and retopo it.
