CGHS Mumbai Inaugurates New Wellness Center in Borivali
Borivali, Mumbai, September 1, 2024 - In a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare services, the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Mumbai inaugurated a new wellness center in Borivali West. The facility, located at F1, Metro Staff Quarters for Aakashwani & Doordarshan on Gorai Road, was unveiled in a ceremony marked by traditional festivities and attended by several dignitaries.
The event, which began at 11:00 AM, was graced by the presence of Dr. Nirmal Mandal, Additional Director of CGHS Mumbai, under whose visionary leadership the wellness center was established. The ceremony started with a vibrant Lazim dance performance, setting an auspicious tone for the proceedings.
Dr. Nirmal Mandal officially inaugurated the center by unveiling the plaque and cutting the ribbon. The ceremony was followed by a guided tour of the wellness center, led by Dr. Naveen Siavnkutty.
During the formal function, which was compered by Mrs. Rajani, Dr. Geetha Anandan commended the efforts that led to the establishment of the center. Dr. Duriya Desai, former Additional Director, provided a brief history of the Borivali Wellness Center, highlighting the importance of this milestone. Mr. Rajesh Beldar also spoke at the event.
In his address, Dr. Mandal congratulated all those involved in bringing the project to fruition and outlined future plans for expanding CGHS Mumbai's services. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Naveen, followed by lunch for all attendees.
The new Borivali Wellness Center is expected to significantly improve access to healthcare services for beneficiaries, marking a new chapter in CGHS Mumbai's commitment to CGHS Beneficiaries.
