Not a fan of the first person view but the symbolism is very good. She sees her parents as monsters when they fight and then sees herself as a monster. I feel as if it's foreshadowing that she'll become a monster as her parents are. It shows how parents can shape the way their children are in the future.

More like they actually are monsters playing as humans and little Judy just found out the truth of her heritage. Children can imagine their Parents as monsters but mommies don't scamper across the ceiling. No reason for little Judy to imagine herself a monster when she is scared witless either.

The imagination of a child is quite amazing. You must have forgotten. I'm not saying my interpretation is the only one. The thing about good art is that it can be interpreted so many different ways. You could go the boring route, I suppose, and just say it was all real. I personally think it's much more interesting to interpret these things as symbolism for something much larger. It's fine if you don't have an eye for these things. You can still enjoy the pretty colors you see and such.

@@Potato_Hole I loved your answer, and my interpretation for the final is that she sees her as a monster too 'cause her parents (maybe) are fighting mentioning her and she thinks she's the problem that is causing her parents to fight and act like this. So she also sees herself as a monster that causes pain and sorrow as her parents are doing to her.

I liked the movie it kind of alludes to what it's like to have a family complicated with aggression and abuse from the children it makes it clear that the parents are the monsters is a good review in short form. 10/10 channel recommendation refúgio cult:)
