5:21 it doesn't have to move slowly. It is fully capable of moving at faster speeds. It goes slow to scare the other robots. A hint that not only is the giant crane robot conscious, it also gets a twisted satisfaction out of its job.

Yes, exactly! The animation, direction, lighting, timing, the characters and their movements... all are superb examples of CGI animation at its finest. A truly heart-tugging story told with wordless story-telling. My only complaint is that it seems like the opening chapter of a much longer story. "Please, sir, I want some more!"

This is a wonderful story! The animation is amazing, the lighting is perfect, you can see motive to the characters actions and their personalities are well defined! I have seen a few of ESMA's other things and I have to say you all are doing great.

I don't know how many times I've watched this, but every time, I want to see two things. His friend salvaged and restored. What wonders he finds in the city. For icing on that cake of delicious success, the island gets a morality makeover. Yes, it's a tough job. No reason to make it any worse than it already is.
