Just to clarify, but it's all but outright stated that Metis is Agis' Shadow, the 'humanity' , 'desire to not be left behind', and 'need to protect what is precious to you' that she unconsciously rejected in her grief. Something she could do in the way that she did due to the unique nature of her newly born 'human heart' granted to her by both her experiences and 'Plume of Dusk' that serves as the vessel for her soul. As for Nyx? Humanity's pure suicidal nihilism is to blame... bc we're collectively dumb af.

No Nyx is not a shadow in any means Nyx is the mother of all shadows as Ryoji said in the base game and the concept of death itself Nyx existed before humans and unbound by them that's why it cannot be defeated unlike izanami , yaldaboth and demiurge who themselves are born from human desires and became what they are because of humans Nyx on the other hand doesn't need humans desire for death in any means as she is the concept itself and a concept doesn't need to be desired to exist as death no matter how much you want deny its existence it will and always be there no matter what happen and Nyx appeared because of erybys which as Fukka said is not a shadow it is all humanity's ugliest traits and their desire to die as every human at one moment wished to die at one moment and erybys born from such things but it can't bring death to humans so it reached to Nyx called for it which is the cause of the fall and the dark hour in the game and because erybys is manifested from humans it can be defeated however because it was born from the desire for death that exists in every single human it will always come back over and over again until it fulfil its role and the protagonist's great seal role was to seal the path to Nyx to prevent that from happening and protect humans from erybys bring nyx and the end of everything

So I understand what catdog is, but how does it exist? I doubt humanity only started having such negative emotions in 2009. What about before? Nyx is confirmed to be the source of shadows and in turn caused the collective unconscious to exist. This means that she's been chilling in the moon before even P1 and P2, considering the events of those how has Erebus not gotten through the door? If someone were already guarding the door like our MC here, where did they go? Even stranger to me is the fact that the negative emotions became a monster. The world is undoubtedly crule at times, but that is ignorant of all the good. If the negative became a monster to destroy why is the positive not there to balance it? Unless emotions don't normally form into beasts. Saying everyone is nihilistic would be incorrect considering the casts of 1 through 5, and in 5 they're even aided by the populous of japan. I mean Mitsuru grandpa farmed shadows so he can make a time machine,imagine shadows as Nyx braincells normally they remain in their humans without doing that much but when he started gathering them they could call up Nyx physical body - the moon as they had some threshhold to be reached before they can reunite with the moon. The reason before it did not happen is that humanity actually wished for life during hard times and wished for death when times were easy,imagine back in the days during war people wished for life and hope instead of death and giving up on life

The explanation by the P3 Club Book really was that The Fall almost did happen multiple times, but it didn't simply reach that threshold with not enough people yearning for death until the 2000s. You also have to consider that nobody was trying to hasten its arrival too by artificially amassing Shadows into Death (as in Ryoji), until shortly before P3 happened

To find a way to push back that inevitable wall and grant life, even if they know the end will come again? The End is only truly permanent when Life has given up all hope. There will always be something going on behind the scenes. Always those who are negative in life (Greed, obsession; there will always be people who want more from life and will take it from others). There's no changing that. As long as free will exists, so to can be the choice. The Choice to fight against the injustice of the world and to live how you want to be. I did like this one a lot. It did almost border on tedium though. The story is what kept me going. As soon as I hit Level 65 I focused on going after The Reaper. The battle took FOREVER, but winning shot me straight to level 90. From there, if I didn't feel like exploring a floor, I didn't feel like I missed anything not exploring it.

I didn't feel that way for the base reload game, but I can really feel it in the episode aigis stuff. It feels like everything got... "sanitized" to the point where it doesn't have the same punch as The Answer did for FES, Yukari especially. Yeah Yukari had a bunch of haters for her actions in The Answer, but it really did feel like she was grieving in an unhealthy way that made sense for her character. She's way too mature in this new dialogue and it doesn't feel the same.

Man, they butchered so many things. My favorite line in the entire game was “ there’s only one thing separating life from stillness. “ and they simplified it so much my body can’t even register it. Not just that, this is somehow so much weaker to the original and I feel like they had all the tools to make it just as, if not more memorable than the OG.
