@@grantgarbour it felt long to me my first time playing it on the vanilla version but it felt short my next two playthroughs (still on the vanilla version). 5R's version felt short too but still longer than the previous and later palaces and the boss fight just pissed me off. I just got to the third semester section of the game so my opinion on that may change depending on how long thid palace takes

No joke,the best way to beat him is merciless since attacking weak points to your party members AND the enemies deals three times the damage. I play on normal difficulty but this was the way I beat him. Probably the worst boss fight i have ever encountered in a jrpg.

@@zeichentalent0724 I FINALLY did it on Hard using Makoto, Ann and Haru. Used the elemental items (curse bomb etc) to baton pass for highest dmg output along with some lower defense and raise ally defense skills. Took a few more tries... yes.. a real PITA. Managed on Hard. Never doing it again 😑

Just beat Okumura in 2nd try. After I lose in the first try, I realize that to beat the condition of Okumura endlessly summon the blue tall robot is make joker have bless skill that affect all foes (that group of robot ressist to other element, though) . While the other 3 focused on healing, buff, debuff foes, and protect the party member who become the target of Okumura attack. Focus on spell attack buff on Joker. Try to beat that group of blue tall robot in 2 attack, don't attack before your attack stat increased. I somehow managed to had an item that made magic attack damage doubled and use that to joker before use bless skill. before they run away (which is very annoying) I almost did a rage quit, though.

If you noticed it, this IS the new Madarame. Basically from researching past streams, there SEEMS to be 1 Robot that you CAN'T kill in two turns no matter what. This is because that one has Rakukaja on. I don't know why, but most people DO NOT think about removing that on first turn. I think you NEED to lift that on turn 1, no exceptions. For example, at 18:08 there's a good chance where you can actually remove the Rakukaja with Baptismal Water so they don't even get the chance to attack.

If there was a fight... to make one of your party members separate for a couple of turns... to make the fight easier... it was this one... i mean the targetting mechanic, the fact that okumura keeps summoning cannon fodder endlessly and stays in the background constantly out of your reach... it would have made the battle much more enjoyable and a little easier

I beat this guy yesterday but I had to turn to merciless, its definitely doable at level 45 though. I just made sure to level baton pass between joker and Haru using the darts mini game and Tetrakarn is absurd if you set it up on your whole party before the executive director and maintain it through the fight (Dont let haru die)

The green robots are weak to Psy and Curse. Using Baton Pass Between Joker and Haru is essential, and you need to focus the defense-buffed robot a little more than the rest.

Wow, the fight is not even that difficult to begin with. Most players including you are just underleveled and have party members with the worst skillset ever. Make at least one of them learn -dyne skills, -la is okay but you'll be facing some hiccups since the damage dealt is not that great. Also you just have to maximize baton passes, to increase the damage dealt. If you are not aware yet, the first baton pass is Kaioken, the second is Super Saiyan, the third is Super Saiyan Blue and the last one would be Legendary Super Saiyan Broly. The longer you hold baton passes to each member, the greater the damage is dealt.

shinya nakagawa uh.. no shit. The boss is easy, its the timer thats the most difficult. Im at the standard level where you dont grind in momentos (level 54-60). My characters all have current meta skills to be used on the mobs.

@@NateTheGreat101-c7l To be honest, I didn't grind in Mementos. I used up 3 to 4 hours grinding and farming EXP and money in Export and Disposal Line sectors. I leveled up to 47 for all my party members and gained 1.5 million yen just doing that. If you are at level 50 and above, it should have been a lot easier. I literally end the fight in 16 minutes mark, my whole party are at level 49 during the battle (did some Mementos shit for confidant ranks before calling card). I only swapped Ann for Yusuke in the third wave. The timer really means nothing aside from giving you unnecessary pressure during the fight. The problem here is that, you don't plan the your strategy well and getting mindfucked by the timer instead of focusing on your strategy. This fight is no luck, you just have to time your attacks well. You can finish off the small lackeys in less than 5 minutes with better moveset. As for the big one, debuff him and spam -dyne magics as much as you could. If you have Ariadne with Beast Weaver, use her. It will end the fight even more quickly without you having to face his Big Bang Order.

All my friends telling me this fight had them quit for a week had me really anxious.. was a cakewalk I guess leveling up to 50 by respawning the girimehkala by the barracks saferoom paid off. Also some strong Psy spells I got from fusions during an alarm also really helped, didn't have an instance of robots running away

I killed two red riders for two karma rings. Equipped them to Morgana and Ann since they have the highest magic stats. Baton pass level 4 achieved. I made Haru my last one to receive the power.

So fought and beat this last night for the first time after 4 attempts, was it difficult? Yes, was I carried by two strong personas from network fusion/fusion alarm (pale rider and unicorn)? Yes, but honestly with how easy the combat had been up to this palace it was actually a welcome change of pace to not stomp the entier thing

This fight is literally worse than the original. 30 mins only, the robots simply just don't die because they live on 1 hp then run away and then it resets making all of your work wasteful. DID THEY EVEN TEST THIS!!! Why can't i use an all out attack i have no reason to not be able to so wtf!? Also those green robots they are invincible my team is level 44 for god sake and i can only put a dent in them with psycokinsis.

I beat him on 43, definitely bring all companions with the robots weaknesses and use critical moves as much as possible, It doesnt hurt to have triple gun moves either.

Tip: buy the DLC personas and nuke the fucker. No one will judge you for it. Atlas had feedback and a few more years worth of experience and they made the fight WORSE! There are 2 ways to go into this fight: 1. With Messiah Picaro and 2. ready to lose.

For me this won’t help at all. I’ve been on this boss ever since I stopped playing because of okumura back in Early April. I honestly wanted good personas and better attacks but obviously it’s not in luck for me. My DLC personas can’t even do anything all except Asterius Picaro
