There's an option in the main menu to hide player names (I got tired of censoring hate speech in user names). You can tell the match has real players in it by looking at the top right and noticing the word "Humans" followed by the number of actual humans in the match.

I do hate the stupid names edgy teenagers and morons alike turn on so I can respect that. I noticed that just by using better territorial mod, it cuts WAY back on the filth people come up who think they are funny.
