Waiting on a MOD9 and Hyperion to transfer from CGS to my FFL...then the real wait begins :|

Like you said, sound suppression is excellent. Any thoughts on why?

here's a question, I got a mod 9 and I got their CGS 3 lug mount. I was told that their 3 lug mount was to be used with HK type three lug muzzle devices. I have tried two different ones and they are both loose in the CGS 3 lug adapter. One was from HKparts.net. The adapter is $180 and the 1/2 28 three lug barrel mounts are not cheap either. Like $60+ each. What the heck is the deal? They are so loose that I'd be afraid of a baffle strike. edit: great video, thanks

That is the unfortunate reality of 3-lug. The specs are fairly loose, and some will wobble while others are too tight to even fit inside the mount.

u’re reviewing the CGS cans did you have a chance to try out their three lug adapter, it costs about $20-$30 more than that dead air three lug I was wondering could I use any three lug adapter with my mod 9k? Does cgs use special internal threads so im required to buy theirs. Is there anything special with the three lug adapter from CGS because it does look different than most

Hello Capitol Armory, I've ordered a Liberty Cosmic and CGS Hyperion from you guys in the past. I've been dragging my feet ordering the MOD9, I don't even know why. But since you posted this excellent vid, I was hoping you could answer this question: Out of all the currently available suppressors you guys have used, which one is the quietest in your opinion when it comes to suppressing 9mm? Thanks in advance, hoping you'll answer!

Currently waiting on my mod 9 stamp to arrive. Chaos Gear Supply claims it can also handle subsonic 300blk. Any chance you can get the numbers on how well it works? Just kinda curious with a first can if building a 300 blackout would be worth it or not with this suppressor.
@astromoosie4 жыл бұрын
I don't think you mentioned it in the video but how's the blowback? I've got some Octane 9's which are NOT hearing safe shooting subs an I'm getting some blowback/debri coming back at my face.

My new cgs mod 9 suppressor appears to have problems with the piston spring...both ends have flaired out somewhat...its hard to assemble and the piston 'gears' do not engage.....so when I attach the suppressor, I can still rotate it by hand (not where you have to pull it out to make point of aim adjustments). Have you heard of this? Do springs wear out after ~300 rounds? is this a unique CGS problem? any advice greatly appreciated.

What kind of mount would you use for this on a 92fs?
@Midkemian2 жыл бұрын
On the website it says it's rated for .22lr, but on the video it only mentions 9mm and 300AAC. Can someone confirm?

With full size mod 9 on my 365 with Tru-Precision threaded barrel...I get FTF most of the time where i have to bump the back of the slide after most shots. I also get the bullet nose diving into the magazine. any suggestions?....weaker or stronger recoil spring?
@orsonhumphrey21883 жыл бұрын
Stronger spring

Why only 300 blackout subsonic? What would happen if I ran supers through it in a pinch or something
@Capitolarmory4 жыл бұрын
Probably some sort of catastrophic damage. Tube split, explode, etc. It's not a rifle suppressor and not designed to take the pressure from rifle rounds.

Does the tri lug adapter come with the suppressor?
@heraclitus61004 жыл бұрын
nope. It's $180 bucks on their website. I bought one and so far I have tried 3 different HK type mounts with it and they have all been super loose. Too loose. I'm trying to figure the problem out still.

Cant decide if I want the Mod9 fullsize or SK version. Any idea how much louder the SK is on the same Sig P226?
@hansvonluck74564 жыл бұрын
I handled both at my local dealer the FS was hardly heavier compared to the SK and it’s much quieter. Since I can only afford one I got the Full-size

I am about to put in for Mod 9.... is there another that is better DB rating for 9mm/300bo or should I get the Mod 9? Thank you

Blake From what I have read on reddit the Rugged Obsidian was the quietest until this came out. The numbers on this video are better than the numbers on Capital Armory’s Rugged Obsidian review with the same hosts. Also it looks like this video was filmed at a colder time of the year (reviewer is wearing a jacket) vs the Obsidian video (wearing T-shirt and sweating) Colder weather makes suppressors louder

I have a browning style action on my CZ75D PCR, will I need a booster?
@whitedime2 жыл бұрын
can you keep the booster in it while using on a fixed barrel setup? assuming you don't want to swap it in and out
