There is enough evidence to prove that his plane was shot down. In fact, they had radar that interfered with the equipment onboard his Russian plane, that messed with the navigation and had the pilots fly into SA. Then they shot down the plane and ensured he was dead. A very sad day for Africa. I was only 14 years old but the day of his death still rings strong for me because he was part of the front line states leaders and was actually flying out of Mbala in Zambia on that fateful day. :'(

All the others, mostly countries which are former french colonies are puppets in the hands of France. Ivory coast, Senegal, Mali, Gabon, Togo, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Tchad, Congo. The most surprising, leaders from Senegal, Gabon and Ivory Coast didnt want that their country be independant in the 60s. They wanted their country be associated to France. Its the reason why they have no taste of freedom and the fight for freedom like former british or portuguese colonies in Africa. They rule their country with one simple goal : Favor the French interests

That's the curse of Africa. Good ideas are in the hands of the initiators. Once they're gone, back good old corruption. It's much easier to get money through corruption than to work for half of what you get through corruption. Thus, good revolutionaries like Samora Macel, Thomas Sankara, and the rest die with their ideas. Africa lacks continuity, what Samora was talking about in "Aluta continue". RIP

"A luta continua" - THE LOOTING CONTINUES. Unfortunetaly, South Africa's ANC misunderstood the Portuguese slogan!

since the subtitles are a bit off, does it still give a rough picture of what the speakers are actually saying?

Not at all...the translation is very very bad...it sometimes says the opposite of whats meant even in obvious sentences that do not need paraphrasing...

When a movement is at its early stage, even Religious, it is pure. But over the years, it becomes corrupted.
