Greetings! I think, on the topic of struggling in battles, it's not more so an issue of skill or a level difference between you and the enemy, is just making sure your equipment and skills is up to date. Xenoblade 2 is probably one of the games where level matters the least in the trilogy, but set up is crucial. Specific simple advice below which imo, solve all your struggles but I'll lower it in case you don't want to read it: Really my only 2 advice is to all of the Blades you equip are equipped with Core Chips. Think of it like upgrading the weapon of the blade, it is literally like maybe 70% of the contributor for your damage output because it directly affects your Attack stat. Driver Accessories and Aux Cores are not nearly as important as Blade Core Chips. Levelling raises your Strength Stat, which is directly added into your Auto-Attack stat from Blade Weapons. You can buy Core Chips easily at pretty much any major town. Also, with Driver's Affinity Chart, take a look at the skills you have that you can purchase with SP, like the ability to cancel arts into arts (like the Art of Flow in XC3 given after Juniper's hero quest), which will make Mythra like infinitely more stronger, when you can just spam cancel and gain Special really fast.

Yeah I totally get that! I just wish people would respect my stream rules of not backseating during the game, it really dampens my enjoyment of the game. I really don't mind figuring stuff out on my own pace, so I don't know why people are so adamant about backseating 😭 That being said, thanks for putting your tips in the comments! It's much easier for me to take a look at in my own pace. Reading or thinking about things like skills/accessories/weapons very closely isn't super fun for me, so I don't like doing that on stream hahaha 😅

Oh, and no shame in not figuring out the terrible mechanic vs the wires. I didn't either when I played it. It's so much easier to spot when you're watching someone else play the game than when you're playing yourself. Basically, if no one else mentioned it, once the enemy hits half HP, it puts up a status called Spike that basically deals your Auto Attack damage back at you - so you are hitting yourself in addition to the enemy with every attack. The key is to only use specials or chain attacks - which is very difficult since you need auto attacks to charge those. Basically, once the wires hit half HP, you unload any specials and then start a chain attack. Then you either win or die.

Yeah, I just wish chat would give me more room to do things on my own, the back-seating really ruins the experience 🥲 I don’t even feel any shame for not figuring it out (that’s just part of the fun tbh LOL), I just felt really pressured to do things quickly even tho I wanted to take my time 😭
