Seeing the way your kids reacted, brought back memories. My Dad raced Baja and of course got hurt, so there was plenty of times seeing Dad injured. I now have one sister who is a paramedic, another who is a nurse and of course I went on to race (and get hurt as well)

My prayers are with you brother for a speedy and as painless as possible recovery. I met you at Kenworthys MX Park National I believe in 2002 and have been a fan even prior to that. I broke my back the year prior at Kenworthys on the dirty dozen now all these years later I have major back problems but still follow the sport and its a huge inspiration to see you still racing especially at that level because you want to and have the passion. You are a legend Sir in Supercross and Motocross but honestly I have became more of a fan of the man and human being your are first then the racer. It is so refreshing and positive to see the whole Reed family and how the are all involved and supportive of one another then to allow all of us a fans to see a bit of in from the inside. He will be done with pro racing soon…but it will be on his terms.

Reed is and always has been my favorite rider and to see him ride supercross live was always a dream of mine.. He was looking so good! and to think it was a bike issue that ruined his season! I got tangled with another rider on a jump at Indian Dunes in socal and broke my tib/fib clean in half in 1985. After the swelling when down and 3 days in ICU because of a blood clot in my lungs they performed surgery on my leg. I had a Spinal Block, A shot of some sort into the spinal cord to block the pain while they put weights hanging from 1/4" threaded rods (4ea) thru the big bone. I was kind awake and remember the tugging and the drilling and and the pulling but no pain. The talking too. Just barely awake. After I was getting shots of Demerol (morphine) for days. They had to ween me off the stuff. What a crazy drug.

@@dylanbakke9644 who said anything about MDK? Blame the shit bike, Kick The Mother...my cousin has an FC350 and he's on his 4th fuel pump. The thing is it CAN be prevented with race fuel. These bikes needed high octane and the fuel spec got changed. Even Eli Tomac had bogging on jumps he said after. That's why I keep my bikes 2 stroke, Japanese and carburated. And the fact that they cost $10k for a new 4 stroke.
