This is so cool. Chad is just one of us - a lover of music and vinyl. Love how you can watch someone's recommended lists - and they will say - this is the GREATEST album I own - it means so much to me - and I have never heard it. if I made a video like this - probably would be filled with stuff others have never heard of - there is just so much good stuff out there and this guy knows about it all! I would love to just get the chance to hang with him one day and talk about vinyl!

Chad, I know you pick the ones you like and that is completely understandable and really cool to be able to do that owning your company. I've been getting some of the Analogue Productions and UHQR releases as of late as well as a lot of other LPs Acoustic Sounds sells. I don't expect this will do any good, but it can't do any bad either. I would love to see an AP release of the 1978 Journey Infinity album. Even if it was Departure, Evolution, or the live Captured LP's, I sure do crave some of that 1970s Journey vinyl in a remastered, upgraded version. I don't think anybody has done anything with those early Steve Perry era vinyl records since they were originally pressed. Sure, there have been reissues but I don't think any of them have been remastered or had any kind of sound upgrade. My old first pressings still sound great but I would just love to see something like these albums put into an AP release! Thanks for the great work and great music and releases!

@@acousticsoundsks very cool. One great title that is often overlooked is the Milt Jackson title called Ain't But a few of us left. Great sonics. Was issued by Pablo and later one of the few jazz titles released from MHS. Believe Sterling Sound cut the MHS lacquers. do not recall who pressed it. The MHS copy is sonically better than the Pablo press

Hey, Chad - nice pics, really appreciate videos like this one. On another note, I wanted to ask if your company could revise shipping rates to Puerto Rico. We get the same domestic shipping rates as to states from all mayor online sellers and most vinyl stores online, but a big exception is Acoustic Sounds, which quotes international shipping rates to Puerto Rico. If you revised these rates I'm sure you'd get a nice volume of direct sales from over here since there are just a couple of small records stores in the entire island, and none specialize on audiophile pressings.

Nobody asked for my recommendation, but here it is anyway. I put a lot of time, energy and money into building my system, dialing the room in, learning to wet clean my records well, etc. I'm happy with it where it is, any more improvements (there are many) is just gravy. That being said, I wanted "Pastel Blues" so bad for about a year or so, maybe a year and a half. My favorite Nina songs/versions are "Sinnerman" and "Strange Fruit" from the "PB" album. I had never heard the rest of the album and I purposely didn't listen until I got a copy. It was going to a lot of money and though I have paid what it was going for for albums before, I waited. Then, one day it's in stock for 35 bucks. Got it home, wet cleaned it very well, put it on and dialed it in. I teared up. Overwhelmed by the songs and the quality of the pressing and how far my listening room has come. I'm very fortunate to live at a time when I can get something so well done for 35 bucks. I appreciate what your doing, Chad. Every Analogue Productions record I've bought has been amazing. From the vinyl to the jacket, even the shrink.

Smokin’ not a bad album but past their peak…. But don’t let that put you off. p.s. saw them play on the Smokin’ tour at a small venue on the English East Coast. Was near the front and they were LOUD. Huge stack of amps aimed at my left ear. Woke up next morning for school (14 or 15) with dried blood in my ear. Mum went ballistic….you are not going to any more concerts! Sure, mum.

I have many different systems. We have them at the pressing plant, our office and at my home. Too many to list, but I have things like ATC, Tannoy, Quad 57, Vandersteen, Avalon speakers, VTL, Macintosh, Sutherland Electronics, and I have so many brands of turntables - Basis, VPI, Technics, SME, TechDAS Air Force One - and I have a turntable museum which has things like Gerrard 301, 401, Thorens 124, 224, 125, 126, 226... There's just too much to list! Trust me, here at Acoustic Sounds we're deep into it. I do not believe you have to have a half a million dollar system to get good sound, the most important thing is your source (a good recording that was mastered and pressed well.)
