Omgggg I'm French and I've been living in Paris for a few years and I have never ever since those prices! 20 euros for a jambon beurre??? :o :o The most I have ever seen is like 8€ for top quality ham and cheese, otherwise it's under 5€ (same for crepes from street vendors, always under 5 euros). These tourist prices are crazyyyy! Apart from that, I loved the video and you looked super stylish Claire

Hi guys. As a French person I find your video very interesting. 1,60 euros the baguette! 20 euros for a sandwich! It's written "tourists" on your forehead 😁. Otherwise a real ham and butter is made with white ham. It's a Parisian product and you can still find very good ones at a reasonable price. The restaurant looked delicious, the bakery too. But if you want real good crepes, you have to go to Brittany and not elsewhere. In Paris, it will be near the Montparnasse train station only. Have a nice trip 😀

Nobody puts oil in snails... :D That's butter, garlic, shallots and some parsley. The traditional Parisian Jambon/Beurre is not with cured ham but "jambon blanc' (white ham) instead with French crunchy pickles in half a baguette. It's usually ten times less expensive, so I hope it was exceptional.

No additives or preservatives are allowed in the dough, hence why the bread is sold daily and we buy the bread generally, in the mornings. The baguette also needs to be made at the boulangerie, it is sold in, so just a fun fact.

If you’re watching this and you haven’t been to France yet here is my advice; take your food expectations down very low before you go. If you want the best restaurant food in the world go to Chicago. The real beauty of French food is in the super markets. The products you can buy for picnic And charcuterie are phenomenal, but restaurants can be very hit or miss. If you rent an Airbnb with a kitchen you can get the real French foodie experience, I highly recommend.

Hello! Great video!! I have 3 points : 1/ crêpes= at the basis the most simple way to taste a crêpe is with sugar or confiture !! Nutella is not the original way to eat it. It ruins the real taste of this recette 😁. 2/ The wine you bought around Eiffel tower : it's recomended to not buy it to all these (illegal) sellers. Just go in a store and buy it normally. 3/ the drone's footage: wonderful! But did you ask to the authorization (prefecture)? Because it is forbidden to fly without the dedicated allowance. Keep your quality at this level, the channel seems very interesting 🤩. Cheers.

Serious question: What makes you think that you can go to Paris for three days and suddenly you’re qualified to tell people what to see and where the best food can be found? I know this may come as a shock, but all of these places are found on basic lists on the Internet. This may come as an even bigger shock, but many of those places pay to get on those lists. People are much better off finding a good independent local guide if they need help and especially if they want to find the “best” local spots and not just what tourists consider to be the “best”.

The dough of a traditional French baguette is sourdough (natural yeast) dough. It has to rise for 36 hours before it can be used, which is why there are the large holes in the dough. Sourdough is a bread made by the fermentation of dough using wild lactobacillaceae and yeast. Lactic acid from fermentation imparts a sour taste and improves keeping qualities.
