Been wanting to get more into clothing but all round where I am the prices are crazy , some stuff even more then what you would pay for on eBay , the charity shops are turning people away who want to donate because they have too much stock because they can't sell it because the prices are too high. It's mad, and love that bulls jacket I had one once upon a time

Been watching your videos lately and I LOVE em! today I went out with my misses first time to try and scoop some items. Found a Burberry Jacket, but 150£. Its 550£ from new. But still It was too much for a starter.. Found some Nike Air Hurache for 2£ in awesome condition. A few Ralph Laurens to 3£ and a Amani Jeans Longesleeve shirt to same price. This is my FIRST ever time I went to look for things to resell :D I hope it goes well.

Ah those first two towns are my go to 'big' areas for sourcing. That first barnados is £££ but you can sometimes catch them out. That PDSA is the best though, always good prices and good stuff. Great video!

That Barnardo's in Long Eaton used to be one of my absolute best treasure troves. It's had a new manager and the prices are ridiculous. Managed to pick up a few Action Man pieces but nothing for months.

An advert that I think was a joke a few years ago said to save money give your stuff to a charity then a few weeks later to buy it back they will wash and iron the things a lot cheaper then a cleaning service.

@Chaddypete yeah, I used to work in a British Heart Foundation. Always had brand new goods from amazon and Marks and Spencer. Found jack wolfskin jumpers and kanken backpacks in the amazon boxes before. We always had to make sure it was clear you can't return onto M&S etc. Which is why they mark it. Also I know you commented on the prices being steep. Head offices from charities are pushing for higher prices loads now

That Dunhill stuff was legit… luxury fashion companies mark products from a previous season to make it more difficult to sell on (and dilute the value of it) and they’ll do a sample sale where employees can buy the stuff heavily discounted but they’re not allowed to resell it. Pretty sure that’s what’s happened here.

Great video as always Pete! Few points I've noticed myself....CS around here full of Superdry, Jack & Jones etc for daft money. Also, how do charity shops get away with selling fakes for so much money, if that was me or you we would be in bother for it.

I think because they switch stock a lot it goes unnoticed. But if trading standards happen to be in the shop at the same time as some fake stuff, they may have a bad time!

Good question! I know a few managers at charity shops now and it varies. Eg Mind have a database of brands with specific prices but anything outside of the ones listed can be priced however they wish! Some end of line charity shops price anything and everything at £2 😂

I used to work in a charity shop, I mean it was back in 2001, but after sizing the clothes, we had to grade them. So they may have specific prices for brands and then they may be graded on top of that.

Love your videos but do you not have like a massive amount of just unsold stock? Cause you seem to buy things with sold comps from like a year ago and that means the demand is super low so do you just have stuff laying about? Or do you cross list? Ps love the content and some of the finds you see are insane

The eBay sold listings only go back as far as 3 months so it gives a good idea how much it sold recently. Some things do take time to sell but there are ways to sell stock that has been there for longer than 6 months
