Kano thougt it to those who could afford it. His first non-Judo academy was open to many and was quite affordable. You even have people paying their tuition through working at the academy.

Just in case anyone wants an amusing historical tidbit, there's a clip on KZbin of Shintaro Higashi and Kosei Inoue sparring back in what looks to be 2010, with some excellent throws: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3jXaamXe8RjmKc

Aw..... Beautiful! That's the Judo spirit!! Or at least what I heard of Judo :) I know someone super honourable and polite and yasashii and protective and helps people especially people in need of help like Inoue too, and that person, he's the reason why I'm starting Judo :) And Inoue changed the Judo culture to this yasashii and honourable culture?? That's so amazing I have tears in my eyes

Kosei Inoue is the GOAT....no debate on that. Ono Shohei is obviously in a journey to claim that. To keep fighting with a torn pectoral muscle required an Hokage level resolve.

The GOAT? Man I don't know. What about Koga? What about Nomura? There are so many greats. And the legacy guys like Mifune? THE GOAT? Hard for me to choose just one.
@handlesonjass Жыл бұрын
@@larryzach7880 koga was great but he's definitely not the GOAT. nomura w/ 3x golds is on the table for that debate
