Even with slow motion there is absolutely no chance to react to his throw. it is absolutely flawless

Hi Chadi, our trainer is teaching us another version, where the pulling action is the main part of the technique. The pulling should come from the rotation where you feet (and the UKE's feet) are in a kind of VW position. The reap is just a finisher, the oponent fall comes from the rotational pull. I don't know whether this explanation gives justice to the way we train it (and our trainer says it's just a way he does it because of his physical limitations). Have you seen anyone doing it like this?

LOL, in the camp that Kosei and the JNJT did, the team demonstrated (had to be approved by Kosei) a form of Uchi Mata I have never seen before and not included in your vid. I think the Japan team intends to use it at the 2020 Olympics as a nice 'surprise' for their opponents so I won't describe it here, since it would take a lot of thought and practice to defend against it.
@Chadi4 жыл бұрын
You can describe it in an email to me not necessarily here 😌

@chadi would you say that Uchi mata is a leg throw or a Hip throw. Of course there needs to be hip connection. But is the leg creating the lift the hip. Also which leg do you reap?
@Chadi4 жыл бұрын
There doesn t need to be a hip connection, look at it in nage no kata

I don't think I've ever seen anything like that oikomi uchi mata; the speed on that thing is stunning! One of my favorite things about judo is how practitioners develop setups and methods of execution for their preferred techniques that are unique to their personality and physical strengths. I love watching the different styles clash.

Yes exactly it's called an "art" because we have our own personal expression put into it.

Yes, the morote seonagi by Nomura has an edge and spurs to it. My son missed the morote seonagi clinic that Nomura did in Hawaii in June 2018 and I just discovered the youtube vid of the clinic has been deleted
