First saw this episode in 1977 on our St. Louis Public Television station, KETC. They would show Monty Python's Flying Circus on Sunday nights at 10. There was no censorship on public TV then, so we got to see all of the parts we could never see on American television. I loved the show (I actually recorded this episode and can be heard laughing all the way through it), the series and the troupe's films, but none of my friends ever really got it.

Even though the title of the episode is "You're No Fun Anymore", imagine how "completely different" the episode would've ended, if Graham Chapman's scientist's assistant had what was coming to her, as of what the first few minutes of the episode were doing before the rest preceeded with the "Science Fiction Sketch", saying "Oh, you're no fun anymore." Then, Chapman would break out of character shouting "She said it!" Then, with the assistant continuously flirting, Eric Idle's camel spotting character and the cast of the sketch all break in and grab and take her out of the studio and she would end up put in the same scenario Terry Jones' pope character was; tied to the railway track.
