This is unbelievable. I’ve been looking at articulated paper dolls with pull strings exactly for sth like this ! You seem to know what I’m into !

Hehe. Mind reading and soldering are my two primary skills:)

@@chadssilversmithing Fab ! I’m still working on the soldering (either that or I just got lucky) but my mind reading skills aren’t bad either :-). Still working on setting up studio and I guess I can start again by end month. Next thing I’ve got in mind is large settings of a centrepiece like coconut husk or a domed piece made of woven copper strips, set in a wire ring crossed over by small copper strips of various lengths. Some will be pronging the centre piece, some will spread like a chrysanthemum over the bottom layer of metal. One or two such embellished rings around the middle. Don’t tell me you’re also working on sth like that ! That sort of design gives endless possibilities. ;-). Thanks for replying and sharing !

I think you had some clever ideas for atachment of the body parts 🙂👌 Thank you for sharing even though you're not fully satisfyed with the piece, as it's a lot to learn from it for us anyway ❤ Some good news, my arm is getting much stronger and less painfull every day, so I'll soon be back at my bench 😊 My fractured ancle and back will take a bit longer to heal, but strong enough to sit for short periods at a time 🙂

I'm glad to hear you are starting to recover Elin! How in the world did a wall fall on you?

@chadssilversmithing they had removed the concrete floor and a lot of the sand underneath it to get the height inside the basement approved for being an apartment. That left the two inner concrete walls approx 4-6 inches above the ground assumed they were connected to the concrete roof of the basement with steel rods. They were'nt, so all of a sudden while I was sitting in a squat possition laying pipes in the sand approx 20 inches away from the wall, it just broke off from the roof and fell over me. I was fast enough to allmost get away, but my feet slipped back underneath as the sand pile behind me gave in, managed to get a grip with my left arm and saved my head and torso, but both my legs and my right arm got pinned underneath. My arm got squeezed between the concrete and my left leg and my right foot under my left leg. Ended up with a fractured back as a result of my body being forced into a double sandwich instantly 😆 They thought my arm was limp because of a nerve damage to the large mucsles, but turns out it was just the swelling and internal bleeding pressing on all nerves, so I could move it after a few days and now after 2 weeks I can use crutches for a few steps at a time. Been trough surgery to fix muscle tissue and joint bands that was ripped off and fixate two fractures in my left ancle. Soon I'll be good as new 😅

@@chadssilversmithing it is a lot, so I was pretty devo the first few days not knowing if my arm was gone for good or not. Now on the other hand, I'm at good spirits training to get back home asap and be creative 😊

Video idea! I always have issues when I'm making wire from scrap or castings. I get it nice in a long thin mold, but either hammering or using my mill sometimes it just doesn't come out right. I do anneal, but not sure if I'm doing it too much or too little. Also, I think my biggest issue is my eyes!😂 I can never gauge just how much silver I need for a bit of wire. I think I always go way overboard and then over draw it and have to just work around it, or restart. 💜 Just letting you know how my 3am goes while I curse into the aether begging the jewelry gods to slow down the clock cause I want to finish this AND have an hour of sleep 😆🙃

I am also not good at judging how much how much scrap will produce how much wire. I might not be the best one to make that video:)

I truly love how wide your style of beautiful jewelry is. I've seen some classic stuff and now the cutest pendant! It's really nice to see someone not just hover over the projects they 'like'. 💜 I'm about to grab a lot of silver, I'm thinking the prices are going to go up now after this least political event. That's a bad and good thing at the same time. 🙏🫶
