Fidget spinners were designed to help kids *focus* Personally, I find it easier to concentrate on things while I'm doing something with my hands. One reason I like oragami. Teachers: Look! The kids are not staring blankly at us while daydreaming and not absorbing any information and basically on auto pilot mode! Fidget cubes and spinners can be taken away from your child. Even if the doctor of the child tells you they should have it with them. While I was still in school my therapist told me to have a cube with me for problems i was having. It helped me focus of my work. Then it became the crazy so I ended up getting suspended for giving the schools nurse a letter from therapist stating to have it with me for the reasons he gave.

I can see why it's popular, they're made for kids with attention issues, I'd buy one simply because I have stress and anxiety, and having things to fidget with in my hands helps, because if I don't have something, I usually rip and tear into my fingers due to stress, and it's not easy to just tell someone with attention problems and stress problems to just not do that stuff...mental handicaps don't work like that.
