Having said that, I'm an Anderson Silva fan since 06 when he lit Chris Leben up when everyone thought Leben couldn't be rocked. However, all the respect in the world for how Chael performed that night. I fear for Anderson if there's a rematch.

Aside whether this guy dies of octagon related injuries, you've got to admit that Chael's rhetoric is great for the sport of MMA. Its nice to see a fighter that uses this comedic "campaigning" style to hype a fight instead of the traditional "name calling." So many people will tune it to watch this guy eat his words or pull off a huge upset.

Anderson Silva is not a fraud, he's just humble. And for those of you who didn't watch the fight all the way until the end when Joe spoke to the fighters, Silva pointed out that he had hurt his hip to the point where his doctor advised him to call the fight off but Silva didn't listen. He's a true champ. And hats off to Sonnen for putting up a damn good fight. Been saying from the start he had a legitimate chance against Silva and I received a lot of heat from people. But I was right!

Chael Sonnen has put on a MASTER CLASS of hyping a fight. Reading comments here and on other websites, there are loads of people who are saying "I can't wait to see Silva smash his face in" etc. Given Silva's last two utterly disappointing fights, if this match had not received the amount of exposure it has because of Sonnen's trash talking no one would watch it. The co main event has Jon 'Grind out a Decision Win' Fitch. Sonnen has made UFC 117 watchable.

I think it was a good fight and people should give Sonnen the respect he just earned from that fight and Anderson Silva the respect he should have. I didn't see any fixed fight or playing around or anything of the sort. and to add to that, Forrest was a beaten man early on.. he got tagged quick and lost all of his confidence in dealing with Anderson. He also suffered that brutal jaw injury. Alot of this sport is self confidence and if you have none or lose yours during the fight, you're going to make a mistake and get put to sleep, your limb bent in an unpleasurable position or the lights upstairs are going out.
