Tbf, I'd say pokeradar is a bit more difficult than chain fishing. If you can get into the zone then it's pretty fun, but it's easy to slip up. I've never gotten around to trying gen 4 pokeradar though, so that might be a different case.

I remember doing this method so much back in the day! I actually managed to get a Remoraid on a *two* chain, which to this day is my fastest shiny hunt ever. For fun, I used to chain a bunch of shiny Magikarp and Wonder Trade them out!

I don't know if anyone has told you since the Relicanth catch, but you can get as many Dive Balls as you want in the Poké Ball Boutique in Lumiose City. You can even buy Premier Ball there, underrated place.

Man I still remember going for Shiny Dratini in my X replaythrough, and how horrible it was to go through. 30+ Phases for one Noodley gal. Her name is Poppyseed and I love her. Chain fishing brings back LOADS of memories.

YO eternal! i finally got SV a few weeks ago and i've already caught 4 shinies with full odds. haven't even completed anything in the game yet either 😭 i'm so excited to finally do actual hunts and start my own legitimate collection after only ever hacking as a kid lmao. thanks for the getting me into shiny hunting :') i haven't felt this way playing pokémon since my yellow and platinum days. i'm even looking into hunting in older games once my dex is complete P.S. grats on the shinies! that relicanth is so tough

Actually you can buy dive balls in the poke all boutique in lumiose. Just that in the beginning you can trade a poke ball for a dive ball in that city close to the beach. Please research.

General rule of thumb is you shouldn’t ever purify shadow Pokémon 🙏

10:28 There's only 1 Pokémon with poison point that is not poison type and that's seadra. Not horsea or kingdra. Just seadra. So, the poison point to Synchronize interaction shouldn't be a problem outside of that specific encounter. Just look for horsea and you're fine.

Sync can never overwrite a status, so as long as you always thunder wave, spore, or hypnosis before a contact move, it’s not an issue
