22:44 My ONLY shiny Unown is Alpha-R... filling out the Alpha-bet would be one heckuva challenge, just sayin'. Lickilicky was my next, completely random. Same with Stunky, immediately after I evolved my other shiny Stunky. Then came Alpha Magmar. But my absolute favorite is the static Alpha Steelix I got while trying to hunt Sneasel down the Celestica Trail. Perfection.

Okay, so, I know this is at the last bit of your series, but you can actually multi-permute mons both with the "leave" method, and via more aggressively exploiting the game's AI. - I know you know that leaving helps when there's less than four, but it helps EVEN MORE THAN YOU THINK. It's a TRULY HUGE amount of increased spawns; getting that many more potential permutations drastically increases your odds of getting a shiny, particularly for the ones that are only 8-wave mons. If you find a mon you REALLY want an alpha of, it's worth doing, TRUST me. I've had to do almost a hundred total permutations for one mon multiple times, and on non-ten waves you can't afford that without leaving. - By hiding near more skittish mons in a patch of grass/flowers, or for flexibility using a SMOKE BOMB, and then bonking the skittish mons with berries AND THEN STUNNING THEM, you can fast travel away from the stunned startled mons to control how many despawn at once. If you startle, then stun TWO of them, then fast travel away, you despawn two, which is functionally identical to a two-mon KO multibattle! (The fruit-bonk I stole from SirToastyToes, but the stunning--predominantly with Sticky Globs--is my own innovation to DRASTICALLY improve consistency.) I'm a huge fan of shiny alphas, and am VERY glad to see this series went as well as it did. I am in fact looking forward to a season two, especially if you manage to improve your technique even further; you can take even an eight-wave skittish mon outbreak into 152 different second waves, which I believe is more than no ghost spawn manipulation gets from a ten-wave! I know it's trickier and takes awhile, but it is also a great way to get a target you REALLY want. If anything in my explanation is unclear, and you want more info, let me know! I'll see what I can do to improve it!

maybe with permutations that don't result in any shiny you could go for ghost permutations, you then leave x amount behind and then come back as the game forgets where you're with the spawns, with this I got a shiny alpha rhyhorn, unown & hippopatas. the permutations has more info about this (it's behind the advanced option toggle)

If you did not get the shiny alpha after all permutation, you should try the way to perform the permutation in the 2nd horde. It also changed the outcome of the alpha pkm appeared

When it comes to something like the alpha quliava outbreak prehaps try the ghost method if the normal permutations fail. I spent almost two years looking for alpha zorua second outbreak and when I did it was a ten spawn. I did all permutations with nothing so tried ghost and got it in 11. I just couldn't leave with nothing after it took so long to find

I honestly hate when it's all about alpha Pokemon (this is in general btw) and despite videos claiming it's "ones I've never caught before" usually 90% end up being hunts that were already done before in other videos. Like the gligar one. Should add a 6th rule: no repeat alpha Pokemon that were already caught before.
