Thanks so much for your great tutorials. They are very clear and easy to follow. I'm very new, so it took me a while to fully understand this pattern. The thing that was throwing me was that sometimes, when adding the "around the eye" ring, you fed the new ring from the bottom up through the first ring of the existing pair. At other times you fed it from the top down. I could not see what the determing factor was for deciding which direction to feed the new ring. Finally, I found that the direction depended on whether or not the "around the eye" was the first addition or the second addition of the new pair. When the "around the eye" was the first addition of the new pair, you fed the ring from the top down through the first ring, around behind the existing pair, then up through the second ring . When it was the second addition of the new pair, you fed the ring from the bottom up through the first ring, over the top of the existing pair and down through the second ring. Now I'm on to see what the pattern is for the non-alternating version :o]

Hi Deb. I have not being doing anything this year, I didn't know that you were away for some time, I hope you are in good health and I am glad that you are back. I would like to know if the size rings that you recommend are SWG. Thank you for awesome tutorials.
@AussieMaillers

Yeah, took a little sanity break. For SWG, use the same ring IDs as listed, but for the 18AWG use 19SWG, for the 16AWG use 18SWG and for the 14AWG use 16SWG. The 20G is usually listed as AWG with most suppliers...just double check the mm size that I list with the gauges against your supplier of choice. Hope that helps. Deb

Thanks Deb this weave looks great, simple but looks fantastic. Always a great tutorial from you well explained. Just one question, I’ve not used 20g rings before and wondered if they are strong enough, have you had any issues with them coming apart? thank you xx

As long as you treat your jewellery appropriately, all will be fine. I have worn pieces made with thinner wire, and they only broke because I was stupidly trying to shove my hand in a tiny spot and the bracelet snagged and came apart at the clasp attachment ring when I jerked my arm out. Deb

Thank you for amazing tutorials! This is exciting. Can I ask you which jump rings are most used in the projects? I tried to buy on your website jump rings but I don't know what sizes are most sufficient to start with. Can you explain it please?

This is tough to answer as not one or two rings sizes will do it all. Our best sellers in our anodized aluminium is 16G(1.2mm) 5/32"(3.97mm), 3/16"(4.76mm)ID and 1/4"(6.35mm)ID. It's good as any place to start. We also sell beginner kit packs, and ring packs on our site. You can find them in these categories www.aussiemaille.com/package-deals/ HTH Deb

@@AussieMaillers thank you Deb! Its very nice of you. I'll definitely buy. Also because you have great product. I live in Italy right now. Does the shipping fee varies on amount of the product I'd buy? Or it is convenient to buy a whole bunch in once?
