Chain Stitch, Stem Stitch and News of a 10,000 Subscriber Draw.

I was inspired this week by the beautiful patterns on the turkey tail bracket fungus. I thought it would be a good design to introduce chain stitch and stem stitch.
I've included a look at the things I brought back from a recent visit to the beach.... some very inspiring bits and pieces that will probably end up in my stitching somewhere.
Last but not least I'm over the moon that my channel passed the 10,000 subscriber mark on Sunday! So I'll be running a 10,000 Subscriber Draw over the next 2 weeks.
You need to be a subscriber and comment on this video for me to be able to draw a winner. The draw will take place at 6pm GMT on Tuesday 13th. February and I'll announce the winner within the following day's video.
The prize will be a piece of stitching done by me. Something about the same size as my bird embroideries. The winner can choose maybe a bird or butterfly or animal maybe... or they can suggest something to me. If I think I can do it then I will.

Lovely beachcombing finds, im sure you will do something very creative with them all. Your channel is a beautiful place to visit, Marion's world is a peaceful gentle haven in this sometimes chaotic world. When i do the second chain version, I slide the eye end of the needle under the threads, as there's less risk of splitting the plies. Love your demo, and the easy stitching pace. Love all the found treasures as well, and congratulations on well-deserved subscriber numbers.

Hello Marion, I really enjoyed watching this video. The way you present whatever you are doing is so inclusive and encouraging, which means that anyone can “give it a go” without feeling daunted or intimidated. Even showing your recent beach collection was inspiring and I am sure a lot of your viewers are already making arrangements to get to their nearest beach to see what they can pick up. Thank you for the feedback. I do hope I encourage anyone at all to give things a try. There's so much joy in making, but lots of people are put off because of the fear of making mistakes. But the only way to improve is just to get stuck in and actually do it... whatever,"it" is....
