Disappointed in this story! What is the captains backstory in freeing Valara? Why does he do this great kindness for her. Is he being tasked by some federation authority to repair problematic space stations, is his crew just other random collections of Valara type shipmates being gathered by the captain? No explanation by you on these important details. So much slow plotting and internalized information on Valara that did not add to the story all the while saying nothing substantive about the captain and the crew? The story is empty without understanding the captain’s motivations throughout the story? Do you really expect your listeners of this story to believe that a supposed common uneducated laborer doing manual labor mining work in a mine can be trained to learn and lead a mission to diagnose and repair sophisticated machines and communication systems in a time frame that seems impossibly short to have gained such knowledge, experience and proficiency? The story completely lacks credibility in not detailing what Valara’s backstory is…we only know her as being a manual laborer? The end of this story could actually be the beginning of a story in that Valara and two others with her are on a derelict space station that has been communication silent for some period of time. The interior of the space station is described as in poor condition, foul smelling and essentially uninhabitable…what happened to the crew? Where did they go…why was there no mention of them or even trying to locate them? We the listeners only know that Valara feels good about her magical repairs with only two other crew members, returns to the spacecraft she arrived in feeling happy for herself…the end? You left out massive amounts of details in this story and it then concluded it illogically and without regard to your listener’s intelligence, time or fundamental understanding of story details that you left out…thus making this supposed story a big waste of time! No Thumbs up, a big thumbs down! 🫤👎
