I think it's fine that class emblems mix and match with each character's skill set, so there is still a lot of flexibility. The very first example is that you can immediately give your bard guy a healing spell, or at least, that's the decision I made. However, I have heard that later in the game, the active skills don't measure up to the character skill sets. I feel like if they split up the difference more and leaned into the emblems as essential, it might have been more engaging. Maybe if I get farther I can see whether they matter or change the gameplay meaningfully or not.
