I've been an avid jet skier since the 80s. I worry a bit about the lack of buoyancy that aluminum boat has. I've wiped out my jet skis more times than I can count. If that thing flips or just takes on too much water, it's going straight to the bottom. I hope you have room for some sort of floatation attached to the boat and an electric bilge.

Basically he was saying that grinhard plumbing was cool because they built their channel from the ground up and Cletus was some rich douchebag who only had his channel because he was rich or something like that. Total BS either way you look at it. Both channels started out with nothing, Cleetus started out as an intern with 1320 while he was still in college and built his own channel from that inspiration and that one KZbin video he did with a 69 Camaro that went viral. Grind hard plumbing is a similar story just starting out of their own garage building things for themselves to enjoy which quickly gained a following on youtube.

Cleetus has a mini jet boat but hasn't started the build yet as he has no other videos of it except when he got it. "Boosted boys" are doing a K series motor in a mini jet boat. Check boosted boys mini jet boat out. I've been following grind hard plumbing for ages now and absolutely love what they do. No other channel like it.

Steering looks sick! The color and everything. About motor forward/reverse: if you have any 3phase motor (BLDC, asynchronous) then swapping _any_ two leads will reverse its rotation. Doesn't matter, if it's drill motor or 30HP water jet pump motor.

That is awesome. Cool little boat. Drop a stihl ms311 timberboss chainsaw engine in a second boat build with the jet ski thrust system and I bet it would surprise you. My 311 has a twenty inch bar and full chisel chain and it has no problem making short work of a tree even hard cutting wood. So it has some power goin for it. That and a gallon gas tank and that's a full day water cruising. The Stihl ms311 has a 59 cc quad ported two stroke that absolutely screams. Put a tuned pipe and K&N air filter on it after having it ported and the piston squish tightened up with a good tune and it will be an absolute beast for the size of the power plant.

i would love to see a Roof mounted system on the RALLY TESLA, the capabilities would be endless, take the car down some sick off road trails finding awesome rivers/ponds to just unload the Mini-Jet and go hit the water! plus it would just be epic to see that thing on the back of the tesla with the nose of the boat pointed as if its doing a nice wheelie towards the sky! aside from building a mini jet boat trailer!! ( which imo i think will be a PITA hauling, it'll most likely sway very easy and ride bumpy like most super short trailers do haha ) make it happen boys, love the channel!

me and my roomate stuck a turbocharged 1500cc seadoo rotax in a 8 foot wood jet boat, we cut most of the wood out, braced with aluminum and skinned it with kevlar/fiberglass. this was 14 years ago or so, it was slightly slower than the seadoo , with 3 people in it, the bigger jet from the boat with the high hp engine accounted for the extra weight. it was his pride and joy lol

that is a BIG steering wheel lol. Idea with jetboats is small steering wheel and only needing 180degrees lock to lock so you have super twitchy/fast manovourbility. :) Most people trip out when they get in a jetboat due to how fast steering is.

Get ready for a absolute new beast of steering and stopping. No revs, no steering, no stopping. No such thing as off revs and steer and glide into position. Revs on full, change your fwd/reverse bucket and maintain steerage. Gonna be a lot of fun seeing your first actual full test. Jet boats don’t go in reverse by sucking backwards.

You should get a long tube nozzle for it. I changed it on my yamaha GP1200 and it made the turns so much tighter, and it was adjustable.

nice to have a gas savings model swap kit 😅👍 not enough solar panel to recharge it fast but I guess it's easier than refueling if you anchor ⚓ or drift in the sun and trickle charge. but i know when you want the power you gotta have the fuel version
