What glue and adhesive did you use? Doing a small half bath. Has 2 walls of 54 inches, one of 5ft, then the door wall which includes an inch spot on one side...would you start with that inch the work around the rest of the room?

Love the video. Can you tell me the name of the chair rail/brand? I have the same chair rail in the kitchen and dining room and want to extend it into the family room. Can’t seem to find this exact type. Thank you!

I was wondering why you switched back and forth between the two nail guns. The green was described as a brad nailer (18g???), and the yellow was once referred to as a finish nailer (16g?). I was wondering if you can get by with just one of the guns. Can I use a 16g with its shortest nails (I think 1 1/4) instead of having to buy two guns for even shorter brad nails. Thank you!!

It’s awesome to see someone get laid to rest when they think they know everything. My father has been a contractor since he was 17 and never ever has he cut corners for more production and your right..you can still have the best in quality and still have production.I loved this video and I’m glad I stumbled upon you all, my kind of ppl.

Loved the video guys. Great tutorial. I have caulk on some of my other mounding in my house, is that a common practice? It seems like they used it to fill the gap between the wall and the top of the mounding along the top and bottom.

I'm curious what the best way is to cover the marks/indentions from the mechanically fastened areas. This will be my first time installing molding myself and I'm not sure if you sand and/or repaint the molding after getting it on. I was assuming that would still show the indentions though.

Good wood filler, prime if required, then paint! Hope that helps, thanks!

How do you finish or clean up the indentations from the brad nails?
@VCGConstruction6 жыл бұрын

Thanks for the quick reply! Last question...Do you have to sand and paint after? Or just paint?
@VCGConstruction6 жыл бұрын
You can ask as many questions as you’d like, we love helping out the #VeryCoolGang! Yes, I would first sand and prep, spot prime the sanded areas, then paint!

@VCGConstruction7 жыл бұрын
Ron Strode the ideal way would be to buy 16' boards. If they are not available you could use a scarf joint. Thanks for watching, sorry it took so long to get back to you.

The video is good but applying the glue on the back will cause a lot more damage in the long run if the decide they don't want it there years down the road. You did a great job installing it though!!
