Thank you for this, and the discussion. Cause I think it's probably the most monumental vocal run I've heard in popular music. Been saying that, the moment I first heard the song years ago. And I've never heard it exactly duplicated; not even by Chaka (not that she couldn't. But hell, that thing is hard, and will make you lose your voice). Plus, Chaka almost always never sings a song the same way anyways. Lol.

And I'll add to this topic the vocal run she does on that last verse of "Sweet Thing" when sings "I'll go crazzzzzzzzy". Whenever I listen to the acappella version, that part is just eargasm for me.
