I'm 59 and I've been listening to her most of my life. I was so young in fact it took me a minute to put together that Something Good and Clouds were by the same person. A lot of people complained about her back then, said all she did was scream but look at her today, so happy she gets the recognition she deserves

Absolutely incredible!! I love rock, Hendrix stuff in particular and I've just got to say that this is possibly one of the finest cover versions of ANY of his songs that I have ever heard. Chakas voice is phenomenal and the backing band absolutely brilliant!! What a video :-D

Check out her early stuff with Rufus. It's straight Rock. My man who sang gospel said from the way she sings you can tell Chaka never sang in the church. So in actuality her voice was perfect for the Rock genre.

Reminds me of back in the day when bands like Rufus, EWF, Bar kays , p'funk etc and all rock bands incorporated all types of music in their live concerts and we all walked away tired and satisfied and didn't want the night to over.

WOW....I wish she would still today put this song in her song list, especially since on Funk This cd she recorded Castle In The Wind. You know do a Jimi trib set! Let us not forget she record Little Wing in 2004 for a Jimi tribute cd track with Kenny Olson, equally amazing. Chaka shares some spirit kinship with Jimi I'm sure. Guitars presence is always important in her music and she does that air guitar thing as well during a live performance, you then know she is sooo into the music :-)

The guitar player everybody is loving on appears to be Kenny Olson. He recorded "Little Wing" with Chaka on a Jimmie Hendrix tribute album. He also plays for Kid Rock, others and his own solo work. I don't have proof positive it's him on this show. But, that's my best guess for the day. I agree, he sounds great, whoever he is . . . as does Chaka!
