I’ve seen an old iron mind training hall video from 1993 worlds and tchakarov is all beat up, knees cranky and sore but he did a 270 for 3 back squat. He must’ve been in a lot of pain this competition. I think this is the only year Khaki represented his native country Georgia. Before this it was Soviet Union/independent Soviet countries. After this it was Greece. I believe his mother was Greek, father Georgian. You here a lot of talk about the great 1990s Greek team being all imported talent, but most of those guys were ethnically Greek who came from Eastern European countries after everything fell apart in 1990/1991.

As far as we know Kakhiaksvili was the olimpic champion..he got gold in Barcelona 92...and pertaining to Khrapaty he always was a contender..a respectable one..👍👍🇸🇻

A contender and a champ. Several world and European titles mid eighties late eighties when he was at his best. He had a long career.
