Wow! what a fantastic competition, thanks frank, much appreciated. Both legendry lifters, and despite getting silver I think Kakhiasvilis is overall the greater lifter... truely increadible... but both are fantastic!

Holy shit that is an awesome gutsy effort by Kakhi on that lift. He takes the jerk to rock bottom before he absolutely has to bail.

Oh how sad Chakarov injured himself in the warm up room, he got a 185 snatch at that competition and was looking well for 225 at least if he didn’t hurt himself :(

It's funny that at first the board mensioned kakiasvili as GEO and finally it changes to GRE.

Khaki had an injured leg. Randy Strossen says that when Khaki is training in the training hall for this competition.

Shame about Chakarov as well, I think a lifter who is often seen below his abilities. Kakhi had a really hard time in this competition as well

+Gio Iberi it is originally Kakhiashvili however when he moved to the greek national team and aquired a greek nationality he changed it to kakiasvilis.

It doesn't make a difference because he is an ethnic Greek anyway. Greeks have been living in Georgia for about 4,000 years.
