Ah, thank you! Of course I would rather appear 100% successful, but that’s not real…I’m so glad it helps you!

In 2011 I lost my father. Dragonflies have always been my sign from him. He grew up near the Atchafalaya in Louisiana. The year he passed we went on a swamp tour with our son. The Captain of the boat said that my son and I were both covered in dragonflies. I even had a dragonfly tattoo created on my wrist just for him. So to say that I am enamored with this is a complete understatement. It is simply lovely!

I see, your collage method would make birthday cards or any art piece easier because you already have layers. If the jelly print was made using the elements of the theme, just one print could be used for the background. The focal point reminds me of decopage or card making. It's convenient how all the paper crafts work together great. The sky is the limit. Very good 👏💐🖖

Janice, YES! Now you see the unlimited potential, I really love gelli plate printing because it helps "launch" so many other creative ideas and it is so approachable, thanks so much for watching the videos and commenting, I really appreciate it!

You kindly sent me to this video. The dragon fly picture is nice. Taking a photo is a great idea. The Golden Matt Medium is your wood board primer, and glue. I have seen people use modge podge but not on wood. I know many you tubers sell their master pieces. I also notice making the collage requires some room on a table. Thank you for the demo 💖

I love this one, Vicki. Your composition is beautiful and the colors feel so right. Could gesso also be used to prime the cradle board?
@VikkiReed10 ай бұрын
Thanks for your question, Kathy! I believe you could use gesso to prime, as long as you kept it very smooth. I tend to allow textures in my gesso which makes it a little trickier to apply the print smoothly to the panel. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and the result!

This turned out really beautifully and I’m so happy to see an idea of how to use these gelli prints. When I had hear my watercolors to Birchwood panels, I topcoat them with Dorland‘s wax medium to give a nice buff glow. What is your last layer mat medium?
@VikkiReed7 ай бұрын
Vivian, thank you! Dorland's wax is an excellent topcoat for watercolor! Since these are acrylic, I spray varnish them with Winsor & Newton General Purpose Matte Varnish Spray, two coats, thank you for your question!

Liked the sides covered. The glue is it same ish as Mod Podge???
@VikkiReed8 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment and question, yes, Matte Medium is Modge Podge-ish, some people use Modge Podge as a final coat

Why do you use a stiff spatula over a brush?
@VikkiReed11 ай бұрын
Diane, thank you for your question! I find a silicone spatula helps reduce the chance of bubbles AND, I don't have to clean the matte medium out of any brush...if it dries in the brush, it is ruined, if it dries on the spatula, you simply peel it off.
