What ticks me off the most, is the fact that these hard working low income craftsmen put their blood & sweat together to make our childhood memorable with our friends & family. But the state govts are hell bent on banning their products (but not the industry which they can tax) in the name of pollution. Which makes it seem like an elaborate joke, with this strangle hold on the industry & with no clear objective to relocate them to a new profession, where they can sustain their livelihood. They clearly want this craft to die out. Soon enough, the next generations will no longer be able to have memories like we build & still cherish.

Let's be honest, the people who make these crackers don't really enjoy making them. Would you? Considering the poor safety standards of the profession? Now I know there are other things which pollute more than firecrackers do (motor vehicles, stubble burning), but is it really worth carrying on this craft at the expense of the workers health? Should they have a poor quality of life so that we can have "good childhood memories"? I'm not saying firecrackers should be banned, but do you want the craft to go on in the same condition that it is in now?

Use social media for 1 hour max that's it and do this for 1 month. Go in an academy and enroll yourself and play badminton, table tennis or something else. Do this and you will see the improvement I also felt this so i did some physical exercises but who likes to do that 😅😅😅so now I started playing badminton feels good man. Go enjoy your life after all this is the only one if something is not to your liking change it. After all you are the master of your decisions. Yes Sivakasi in TN is famous for making fire crackers. Some have even lost their lives due to dangerous working conditions. Initially children were employed in huge nos to make these fire crackers but later on Governments took strict action to reduce child labour.

Any industry providing employment to people who have to work in hazardous environment should provide them not only the necessary equipment to avoid the effects of working in adverse conditions but also free health care (if needed). A lot of comments are about congratulating the man for making the festival of lights better but this man is staring towards darkness. I am not against the job (I am son of a mining man and I know a thing or two about how brutal the conditions can get). An intervention of government in explosive industry is much needed that should put work practices and workplace safety under strict scrutiny. Love and Peace.
