Here we have Showcased Roll Caps making complete process in Aravind Caps, Gems Fireworks factory, Sivakasi, Tamilnadu.
Roll Caps are majorly bought as a must-have during Diwali as it is a less effort-induced and safe cracker that also has a cool working mechanism, the roll caps are inserted inside a gun that produces a bang sound every time the gun is shot.

Lot of my childhood doubts are cleared like, #Why some rolls are empty #Why some in-between dots are burnt already #Why caps are not middled in role... #How it is placed exactly in same distances... 😄 Thank you man... 🤩

Even today I play with roll caps at age 32... And every time the gun bursts, I still get the same thrill and joy as I felt when I was 7. Edit: This Diwali I introduced my three and half year old nephew to roll cap pistols. His parents were afraid he would hurt himself but I bought a gun three times larger than normal so that when the gunpowder bursts, it will be farther away from his hands. He happily burst 3 packets of roll caps (3*10) without incident and his parents joined in the fun too 🙂

I think Indian society must learn to get away from this madness called crackers which not only permanently damage the environment for generations to come. The plight of these people and lakhs of women and children who work in the Southern districts of India around a 70 km ring around Sivakasi, the epicenter of this horrific trade is just pathetic. They have no skills other than rolling and pasting papers, a work that can easily be done by machines. But powerful lobbies keep their conditions pathetic with daily wages of less than Rs100 for a 8 hours work. You can name a chemical it will be there barium, strontium, lead, antimony, copper, aluminum powder, Sulphur, phosphorous etc. The town also boasts as having number of engg colleges and schools as well. My direct interaction in training them show only exploitation. With proper training and tools and Govt support, they can use part of the skills in assembling electronic components. Given the political and business nexus that may not be feasible. May be if we all reduce cracker and fire works use at individual families it can make a change in their life. Every time I touch a cracker I feel it is someone's blood. It is time as civilized people we move towards lighting lamps instead of crackers. They can make instead agarbathis

The speed with which these people work to produce roll caps for children is amazing. Inspite of such a hard work the wage they are going to earn will not be much, I am certain. One thing I am happy is that I don't find any young children in the factory. Once upon a time it was prevalent. But now because of public awareness and government's strict rules child labor has been abolished now. But still these working people must get proper wages and facilities. Legendary moment at 13:20 😆 Seriously though, their skill level is god tier. Especially the woman at the end putting all those tiny boxes into one cylindrical pack...insane...✌️

I’m 33 and I still play with roll caps and 8 shot ring caps with cap guns , also embarrassing enough is , it is not limited to Diwali or Durga Puja! 😂, it was great to see how my joy since childhood days is being made!

After watching this video I promised myself will never buy any Chinese roll caps or any crackers will support my people❤ which I always do but sometimes when I buy something made in China or PRC I feel guilty and now I understand why. I respect the hard work and dedication of these people 🙏🏻❤️ thanks for sharing 🙏🏻❤️

I know the ones I get are machine made, which makes this OG stuff so cool! Their repeating finesse is mesmerizing.

What's good about this is that it provides so many people with jobs and from what I can see uses no electricity. It's a sustainable workshop that could still run in a post-electric world (which eventually will be the case).

@@tejasu8226 Global systems collapse is inevitable. Nothing lasts forever. Our electric grid is quite vulnerable to collapse. The causes could be nuclear war, geomagnetic/solar storms, impact by a large asteroid, a supervolcanic eruption, geoengineering, a synthetic supervirus, nanotech, etc. This idea that we can go on forever as we are now is illusory. Pragmatism dictates preparing for it through learning to food and energy independence.

I've never seen them individually packaged like that. I always got them as 5 bare rolls in a tiny cardboard box, and they were perforated between the rows of dots so that I had to seperate them into individual rolls.

It's interesting, roll caps actually had a different name when they were first invented. The actual proper name is Maynard tape. Their original purpose was as primers for firearms. Not just a child's toy.
