Stick some cotton bed sheets in a bucket of iced water and put that fan at the bottom of the bed blowing over the wet sheets. You'll thank me later. Cape Town out.. 🔥

I normally leave things like that to my son. I dread anything that comes with assembly instructions. That fan is just the right size for table tops, bedside cabinets etc. Also much better in the black colour rather than the usual white. I think I will get one myself and put it together myself. Now that I have watched your video. That is if they haven't all sold out. Really useful video thanks.

Yeah Emily... They're pretty easy to assemble... The only thing that might throw you slightly... Is the fact that @1:46 you'll notice the fan blades retaining attachment... Has a thread that tightens anticlockwise rather than the normal clockwise thread you might be more used to... 👌👍

Ah yes Pap, this was a very satisfying watch :) Can't be without one of these in this upcoming weather we'll be having that's for sure! Putting these things together is very straightforward really, apart from the part at 2:25 where you put the little screw in is really quite fiddly!

I got myself a "gym fan" a couple of years back - the metal ones that are ground-based and tilt upwards. Sounds like a jet engine taking off on full blast 😄 but damn is it needed in a second floor flat 🌡️♨️ 😓 I'm dreading this heatwave.

I know the ones, I used to have one, but couldn't deal with the noise! I've been told if you get too hot to soak a cotton sheet in iced water, lie under it with the fan blowing over you ;)

We have quite a few days in the year with 100+ degrees Farehneit where I am (only knew Celcius when I landed here back in the 90s). Fortunately we do have air conditioning, but it is blooming expensive to run. I've had a $600 gas+electricity bill in one month, but 400 - 500 is typical with A/C. I keep the indoor temperature cooled to 76 in hot weather. Right now we are supposed to hit low 90s today, so the A/C will probably kick in at some point.

Nice one Papp... You'll be really glad of that fan within the next couple of days my friend... I'm popping out to grab a couple of birthday cards and some Milk tomorrow morning... Just to avoid the midday heat... As for Monday & Tuesday!... I'm definitely staying indoors with the curtains closed the windows open... And my 14" Challenge Cooling Fan at the ready... But i also have a huge 18" Lloytron Height Adjustable Freestanding Oscillating Fan... It stands at about four feet tall on it's maximum extended height level... But I've got a feeling that the next few days are going to be brutal pal... Keep yourself cool and hydrated Papp... And try to avoid venturing out if at all possible... Stay safe... Thank you for your concern mate. I have enough milk, kefir and water for a least five days. Curtains closed and a tray of ice in the freezer. Probably spend most of Monday and Tuesday lay in a cold bath! :)

Some Assembly Required. Love it.... Absolutely love it. The sounds of unboxing and assembly of each component to it's operation. Lol 😂😂😂😂 A smart man.... Is a man who knows, His fan retaining nut is a Left-handed thread! 😉 For around 10% more airflow, remove the front guard. The guard is for safety but compromises the airflow. Also makes cleaning it the all important blades edges much easier. Keep Cool Papparoni..

Hey Pappa, I bought one of these on Monday from Argos for £20! it works well! Did you lock the body of the fan to the base? There is a lever that locks it into place on the base!

Hi. I just bought this fan from Argos and the black bolt that says tighten / loosen on doesn't seem to properly tighten to secure the blade, it tightens slightly but goes round and round if you keep turning. This can't be normal is it?
