I have loved reading the Bible in a year before! I’ve done the Bible Recap and do like the audio podcast element, but also have gotten into taking notes and deep diving more. Next year, I actually plan to start writing out the whole Bible in a big chunky notebook I ordered! It’d be great to do that in a year, but I’m not going to put that pressure on myself. I’m going to try for 1 chapter a day and see how far I get in 2025. I would love to see you do doodle notes again, but of course you should do what isn’t going to stress you out!

I love the idea of writing out the whole Bible! A lady in our small group at church started doing that. Definitely a project longer than a year, but what a special keepsake that will be. Writing God's Word is always a good idea. :)

I really enjoyed reading "God's Story" and how He shows us that He took ordinary people to do extraordinary things in the NLT Chronological Bible Study by Tynsdale. I plan on going through it again in 2025 and buy the NLT illustrated Bible. Thank you for the encouragement.

CSB Day by Day Chronological Bible is another good one. I like that there are Day 1, Day2, but not by specific date in case you get behind. (Day 1 is simply Day 1, not Day1/Jan 1)

That's wonderful! I haven't heard of that one before. Great mention and suggestion. :)

I have the one I bought last year in the NLT, just to try that translation and to read through the Bible. I bought a large print paperback chronological with no study notes and very few references, and I made it almost through February! Things happened last year and continued into the first half of this year that took me away from that personal challenge I gave myself. I didn't shun my study time though. I found the One Year Bible just last week and dusted it off so I can pick it up again. I'm not going to wait for January one though. I have already started reading a few verses, picking up where I left off last year. In the early 1990s the church I was attending gave a challenge to the congregation to read the Bible in a year and sold those of us who were interested the NIV, which was the translation the church was using, for a discounted price, and it was not chronological. But, I did it! I just never bothered with it again after that because I started getting heavily into study. I now realize that I have to get back to reading daily, though I still underline and not a few notes in the yearly Bible! Love, love, love the chronological Bible. It helps pull the Bible together and if I was asked, I would recommend it.

You folks need to ditch these corrupt Alexandrian text modern "bibles" like the NIV (Non Inspired Version), NLT, NAS, etc and get you a 1611 King James that has been taken from the proper Textus Receptus 📖

Thank you for commenting! I love hearing your journey. Any time in God's Word is a success! And you can start any day. Definitely don't need to wait until January. :) Love it!

I did the chronological Bible 2 years ago on an app. I plan on doing the study Bible version this year. I read through the Bible every year, and Chronological is my favorite

That is wonderful, Rachel! I am so glad it is a part of your daily rhythm. Reading it chronologically this year was very life changing for me.

I tried reading the chronological Bible but quit in July. I was desperate to read the good news of the New Testament! Now I have a bible (out of print) that has an Old Testament, psalms, proverbs, and New Testament reading every day. That has worked well for me.

@CreativeFaithCo hi, another question: is the one year bible your official reading plan every year?

What do you mean when you say they sell out at the end of the year?
@CreativeFaithCo5 күн бұрын
Yesterday when I checked on ordering 50 of the One Year Chronological study Bible for members of our church it said "Only 5 left. More on the way." As the end of the year gets closer, sometimes Amazon and Christianbook.com sell out of the one-year Bibles because so many people purchase them at the end of the year! Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any other questions.
