I just wanted to let you all know that Rokas contacted me the other day. He definitely wants to organise meeting up and having a few rounds!!! The problem at the moment is the COVID-19 restrictions on traveling (testing, self-isolating etc). That all adds extra money and takes away time. Neither of us are pro fighters. So, we're gonna have to figure something out. I'm sure that we will though!!! Once I've spoken to Rokas and we've confirmed everything, I'll post a video to let you all know!!! Cheers for all the support guys!!!

Unfortunately, Rokas hasn't accepted the challenge. He was up for it and did email me saying that he was interested. However, his original challenge wasn't for a fight and it also wasn't directed to people who do a lot of sparring by practicing arts like BJJ and MMA. Saying that, Rokas would definitely be up for a few rounds of sparring. Hopefully, we can meet up, once all the issues with COVID-19 are sorted🤞🏾. I'll let everyone know if that happens!!! @@martialartsaddict9966 sure thing man. The bullshido trend was at its hype with guys like Rokos and many others roasting the TMA including krav maga. I didn't like what people said about krav maga because it never was designed for compition but rather to get away from it. People tested krav in mma arena and it doesn't do well and so krav maga was coined bullshido. Now mma guys getting their ass busted, coz they been trained to fight one guy with a ref, under a timer. Now even a trainer didn't do well at all coz he did exactly what he trained for. Not realising the difference between the street no rules and arena rules , u can call anything as bullshit. She did one on me, WITH HER THROAT ON MY NECK(!!), but I was still able to get out of it and throw HER! Maybe I should have quit but I figured there were people who could and people who couldn’t and studied to 1st Kyu. I think the techniques are valid but they are doing FALSE ADVERTISING in how they present its application!

I have very little faith in wing chun in general. However, if the fight does happen, use MMA gloves instead of 16 ounce boxing gloves. The chain punch is very awkward when the gloves are massive. Also, do not walk and chain punch at the same time, you lose so much power in your strikes. Figure out a better footwork system. My 2 cents.

Hi, let's look at the fighters from the early UFC. I know they are not as technical as the fighters competing now in different MMA arenas, but those fighters from early UFC came from a traditional martial arts background and they fought really tough with a bare fist. Anyway, just sharing my thoughts.

indeed, Joe Rogan for example makes fun of TMA all the damn time ... but what he conveniently seems to ignore is that his kicks are as devastating as they are BECAUSE OF his years and years of former Taekwondo training ... yes, Kickboxing has definitely added striking power and has somewhat "perfected" them ... but some of his moves clearly originated from Taekwondo, he can claim that Kickboxing is superior all he wants but the reality still stands: Joe Rogan is NOT and NEVER AGAIN EVER WILL BE a PURE KICKBOXER when it comes to kicking techniques

indeed, this guy named WhatWouldNinjasDo is a legit guy who is passionnate about ninja stuff ... but he also has broadened his skillset because he has trained some muay thai and actually holds the same rank as Rokas has in bjj ... and - more importantly - doesn't downplay these styles just because it's not ninjutsu ... Rokas on the other hand, is no better in bjj (rank wise anyway) than George is ... but he never even tried Bujinkan, he simply watched 1 random Bujinkan-related video and called it a day and already made up his puny ignorant mind and ridicules it ... yet somehow Goerge gets made fun of while Rokas keeps getting views, likes, subs etc. ... ironic how the world works, isn't it?

You are wearing a bjj and mma hoodie, do you train in those? If you do you are kind of proving what he is saying. I love taekwon-do. Its pretty much useless on its own because you can not deal with punches. After 3 years of boxing you have a lot more confidence in your kicks because you can deal with the punches. Your wing chun is going to be better if you can fall back on bjj and mma. Mma is basically the majority of what works from many styles anyway.

Yeah, I do train in BJJ and MMA. I've been doing BJJ for 8 years now. If I did get to fight Rokas, I'd limit myself to using Wing Chun techniques only. When I learnt Wing Chun, we didn't do any takedown defence. So, I can't rely on sprawling etc. The idea will be to not rely on BJJ etc. It's basically sticking to the centre-line chain punches, elbows, knees, and mid level kicking. It'll be a really good experiment, from my point of view. I agree with you that boxing definitely will improve Tae Kwon Do skills!!! Thanks for your comment!
