Challenge TV/TV Travel Shop - Handovers, July 1999

This clip shows how TV Travel Shop used to handover to Challenge on a regular basis, the 5pm switchover still carried on after TCC ended the year before. Cable & Wireless only got round to adding TV Travel Shop in July 1999. The clip also includes the awful The Games Room, which barely lasted a year.

I actually remember that beautiful group of channels tv shop, tv travel shop, qvc and home shopping europe, it was a nice broadcast during the last 90' and the beginning 2000' really best memories those days

By this point the transition between TV Travel Shop and Challenge TV was quite smooth. In the days when Challenge TV started with Prize Time TV Travel Shop would just get cut off part way through the music at 17:00 and the Prize Time opening would play complete with picture roll. It was messy but it was great. I never watched TV Travel Shop but I can still remember the music as I heard it while waiting for Challenge TV to start. In fact, I don't think NTL or Cable and Wireless even carried TV Travel Shop. That strange version of TCC would be on channel 18 and then that would cut just before 17:00 to TV Travel Shop which in turn would cut to Challenge TV. Good times. Who wrote the music for TV Travel Shop? I found out today that there was also a German version of TV Travel Shop. There is a KZbin video with the same logo but different music and a fella speaking German.

Is Challenge +1 the +1 feed of this one? Or am I being dumb again? Because the +1 feed just shutdown like half an hour ago as I'm writing this. (On Virgin at least, for Sky and other providers, it's 6am today)
