Situational awareness is a crucial skill for every pilot. The ability to perceive, understand, and anticipate changes in all scenarios is key to safe flying. But as a student or low hour pilot, your situational awareness might not always be on point, especially when flying through busy airways, dealing with turbulence, or any list of other distractions. In this video, I share some of my early flying experiences that to my surprise tested my situational awareness and how those moments have shaped my approach to flying.

Great video! Which I don't understand how SA in flight is different then SA walking or driving other then being in 3D over father distances and slower? That could be the ADD-autistic, Boy scout wargame and virtual pilot in me though...

Haha, yeah it is much the same I guess but the situational complexity is increased. Maybe it's more closely related to trying to ride a unicycle through a supermarket whilst reading a shopping list and not bumping into anyone 😄
