Really interesting. I flew in there (as a passenger) many years ago on an Easyjet A320. I didn't realise it was an offset approach. It's a lovely setting for an airport. Great tutorial. It's been a long time since I've virtually flown the A320 (I last did it in the Aerosoft version for FSX) so you were going a bit fast for me, but I'm sure I'll get up to speed once I've watched a few more of your tutorials.

Thank you again for a wonderful video. I really hope, you get the time and desire to make another video with approach and landing at Kai Tak (VHHH) old Honk Kong airport! This would be fun!

Fantastic beginner guide VOR approach! Yeah, that is a bit sad about the missing feedback such as racing game with steering wheel feedback.

Great insight to this landing wonderful video. That's my evening sorted just got back from Tenerife on a 747 so I am fired up to try this. Here goes thanks for the inspiration😊😊

Tried it yesterday. Good fun. CGS is now only providing DME and not VORDME according to data/charts from Navigraph. There's still "12-3 RNP A Rwy 04L/R" where you can enter the bay via BISBO 1M or 1N to BISBO and carry on from there. On the A32NX Development version in MSFS I had the RNP approach encoded without the go-around (not supported) and it connected MN04A directly with threshold which is a little annoying, if you forget going to track mode before, excatly as you advised, and exactly as I forgot, despite preparation attempts :).

Thanks for the video! Flying on VATSIM, LFMN approach assigned me this approach (and was insisting to fly it) so, and initially I was shocked - as I was expecting an ILS RWY04L.

Great video! Another interesting approach is Ohrid (LWOH) in North Macedonia. Not super technical but out of the ordinary and scenic!

Hi there, when you are following the VOR CGS you then turn right for landing 4R. The CGS is 354° and 4R is 43°. This would mean you need to turn right 49° correct? Then the duration of the turn should be around 16 s ( 49°/3) and your bank angle should be around around 25° if you're at 180 Knots (180/10)+7? But how did you know you need to initiate the turn about 3 NM from CGS to 4R?Any simple formula please? Do you the formula for radius turn ( GS2/10)?

Thank you Mr sim pilot, excellent as always, I was just wondering if it was possible for you to film a real approach and combine it with the sim, i appreciate your airline might not approve, but i think it would be very interesting ,,,just a thought, thanks again 👍

I'm sure RW pilots live for approaches like this rather than somewhat mundane ILS approaches. I know that US crews love visuals.

On Thursday I was on an A320 AF1668 Paris-Manchester (after arriving into Paris on a 330 that was out of Malabo, Equatorial Guinea via Douala, Cameroon) that lost engine 1 just over Rouen. Returned safely of course but as a very frequent flier I never felt scared, if anything a little bit excited. That was because A) I’d used your videos to pass the flight from EG and B) had enjoyed your single engine approach and landing video whilst on the second leg! Genuinely I watched while on stand and pre take off then I dropped off. Was awoken by the compressor stall then enjoyed it all the way back into Paris. Weirder still my last Air France Paris-Manchester flight they also had an issue and had to land Flap 2. Going to have to stop flying to Africa on Air France I think!

Could you make a combo and have the ILS tuned so it was available after turning righthand short final with ~3NM to go?
@henrikolsen5 Жыл бұрын
I tried this yesterday, and indeed it worked out fine. Don't know if it's a normal thing to do, but I hand tuned the ILS in RADNAV and used it for extra assistance during the last handflying part.

Good video. I always got confused with a tricky - not straight approaches. But how about ILS? I remember that Bodo ENBO ILS 25 approach also got this weird (not-straight) line off approach - but it's ILS, should it be that way?
@ogaibo13162 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's fine. You just can't do a CAT 2/3 Autoland- so CAT 1 ILS only. You disconnect the autopilot before reachning the last "waypoint" on the ILS and handfly the turn to final

Hi Simpilot, I have the mfs xbox standard version. I have tried multiple times this approach but it really seems impossible. Although I use track FPA 3° at 8.1 Dme, I get nowhere close to the expected descent rate. Or it works until the plane deviates when reaching around 5 DME, seems trying to go for runway or maybe missed approach, even when I add heading 354°.I have also tuned the second VOR frequency and course 354° to try to fix it but same issue. Can someone tell me what's wrong? I have set the right QNH before BISBO as well. Thx

Hey! Thanks for the great video. I'm currently flying the FBW a32NX and can't seem to find how to engage the TOC and TOD arrows. I've watched your tutorials 3 times through and judt can't seem to figure it out! If you do happen to see this comment, please help. 🥲
@320SimPilot2 жыл бұрын
If you are using a stable build it's possible the arrows will not appear due to the unstable VNAV. It does not matter however, begin your descent at the same point as shown on the chart in this video! Thanks for watching!
