It's a beautiful camera. I'm following your channel because I know almost nothing about this subject and I've just put together the parts for my first 4x5, a Bulldog kit (made in the UK) that I had in storage. It's a very fragile and simple camera compared to your Chamonix. I don't even have a lens yet and I'd like to put my Fujifilm GFX100s behind it. Maybe later on, I'll use film, but for now it's premature and expensive. Regards. P.s. Where did you get the Rooster of Barcelos? .-)

I got mine last month (serial #130) and it really is a great camera. I ordered some craft leather off Amazon and cut it in the same dimensions as the front standard & rail assembly. I place this sheet between the front standard and focusing rail so there's no hard contact. Might not bother you, but I didn't like how the front standard just rested on the rail like that.
