It's sad that the guys who have so much passion for the game like Dom and ls just get consistently let down by the industry that they have devoted there lives to. @@neilpanganiban272 it doesn't mean they aren't toxic, they can be highly passionate and still toxic. I think LS has rolled it back a bunch and he's much better this year than he was in the past. But Dom is still toxic af. If u see his reaction to the T1 vs GenG finals, he only talks about both teams griefing, like he didn't say a single positive thing about either game in that series which is kinda weird when u consider that they are probably easily both top 5 teams in the world

If you already know the team's top 5, what benefit is there to the audience to lauding praise on them? He's not a hype man, he's an analyst. You either already know or can receive those "positive" points a litany of places. So I think it makes sense to focus on what teams need to improve on if you're trying to analyze their play.

@@LikeACrouton I'll clarify what I mean toxic. I don't think dom is toxic to the players in the slightest. I don't think infact any of the players at T1 or Gen G could care less if Dom actually told them to kill themselves. What I think constitutes toxicity as a public facing analyst is when u complain certain players don't deserve a job cause of their poor play despite being amazing cause they got beaten out by someone slightly better. Like Peanut had a bad game twice, doesn't mean he's the worst jungler and should now get fired. It really kills the hype for all these series especially when he doesn't say much other than Peanut is griefing his team and is a washed paycheck stealer. Literally all he said in this situation. Nothing about how oner might be the better jungler and just outplayed him with creative ganks while Peanut is still top 3 or 4 in lck and top 10 junglers in the world.

A good example of analysis would be Caedrel, he still roasts the losing players occassionally but there's lots of real analysis always with it, regardless of what's going on. Dom knows how to do but he just reverts to a toxic analyst at times. I really think his saving NA series from last year was really really good but some of his takes are really not good for league's growth as an esport.

25:20 I believe that having a lot of one-tricks is amazing for the competetive scene of a server. One-Tricks are the ones who innovate and optimize runes, items, combos, jungle-pathing etc. They set the standard in terms of mechanics and force you to learn the match-up.

I lost to a bowser in melee once it’s even. And to answer bowser advantages. He actually does earlier than fox generally because fox can just throw him off stage and bowser struggles to recover. Bowsers only real advantage is his out of shield. When shielding it can be hard to attack someone attacking your shield and bowser has a frame 1 option and fox has a frame 4 option(still considered one of the best). To conclude, the matchup is winning for bowser if he plays good :)

To be completely honest, if a player actually aimed to be the best they can be, would they just not play in NA? Like, I can see that players like Toucouille and Pridestalker go to LCS because playing against Bjergsen and Bwipo is surely better than ERLs. But it's hard for me to believe that someone like Huni is playing in NA because he wants to be the best.

About LS's analogy. It goes like this for example there is a situation in a battlefield and probably the best gun in that situation is to use a shotgun but the only specialist left in your army is a sniper. I would never let that guy use a fcking shotgun instead I would gamble with his specialty and see what happens. That is the logic behind it, you gamble in with your specialty and take your chances not with a weapon you have little to none experience in using it.

I don't know man. I mean it has to be hard for NA players to set this goal of being the best in the world, mainly because if I'm playing in the LCS and I'm grinding the game 16 hours a day every single day, sacrificing everything (health, family, friends, other hobbies, relaxation, my free time, etc) in order to be the best, I know that I'm still gonna fail, just because there's a bunch of other players doing the same in Korea or China, but they have a much better enviroment for improvement, so I stand no chance. Then you can make the argument of "Well, they should at least try to be the best in their region", which would be an actual goal, if not for the fact that people meme NA. Fans don't really believe that being the best in the LCS is an achievement worth being proud of. You can win NA, you can be the MVP, etc, but then if you go to MSI and only manage to finish 5th or 4th, you have failed. If you go to worlds as the first seed but finish 3-3 in the group stage, not making it to quarters, you have failed. If those are your international results, then the community doesn't care how you do domestically, they'll just meme your domestic titles. In the end, winning NA is not enough incentive to tryhard, because nobody cares if you win, unless you can greatly exceed expectations at MSI or Worlds.
