Only argument I could see for not playing tenacity is if he does bomb, it could ruin perception of him on an international level. Just perception. Now this shouldn't happen. IWD thought of how Khan usually did really well in LCK and then did worse in worlds, made me think of Khan's season. Maybe he figured out that he runs out of juice, when hes practising hard all year which has a bad effect at the end of the year, so worlds. Why did he play so much Sion in the begining on DWG? I was thinkink it could be that he practised very little but to yet stay relavent in LCK regular split he played none high mechanic champions with decent game impact even when behind.

LS's argument that the DFM 100T game doesn't matter is only true about the standings. LS is assuming that the players do not care about the outcome of the game. However it is highly likely that the players do care about winning. And given that they had no opportunity to practice with Tenacity, putting him in likely hurts their chances of winning. Honestly seems like a pretty bad take that completely over looks the emotional impact that losing that game would have on the players.

Here is my problem with all of the youtube analysts. When TSM goes 0-6 at worlds (i was happy that happened btw), they all come out saying how inexcusable it is. Shitting on them for being bad. Shitting on NA that a team performing like that could even win the league. But when FPX shits the bed, way way way worse when you compare expectations, everyone is rushing to find and give them any excuse. They sucked. Flat out. LNG also looked bad in several games. EDG underperformed compared to expectations. LPL as a whole SO FAR was not as good as expected. Period. It feels like the only region people are okay calling out is NA lol. Even when C9 swept Afreeca a few years ago, it was instant "oh but if LCK sent a better team then of course they wouldnt have lost to NA." Teams show up or they dont. They win in their group or they dont. Im so sick of every other region getting excuses when they lose from youtube league media. They just plain fuckin lost.
