Insurance companies will pay for people to live somewhere, but not forever. They should be expediting the claims so that the survivors can have their basic needs met.
@gsdalpha13583 жыл бұрын
I can't speak for all insurance companies but when a fire destroyed our home in the early hours, we had a hotel room booked and paid for and vouchers for 3 days of meals within a couple of hours. We also got a check the next day to help start replacing essentials, like a few clothing items, personal hygiene, even pet food. We went to the hotel in our p.j.'s with not even a toothbrush to our names. Eventually we were able to move into a small rental house during the 9 months it took to rebuild. Insurance even paid for the rental to be furnished. Miami and surrounding areas can probably absorb the displaced people, and it's thankfully not prime occupancy season there right now. 10/10 would say it's a horrible experience, but we made it to safety with all 4 pets, something the fire department called a miracle. I think this lady's son would rather have her than any of the thing which were lost.

There is another woman who survived. She was on the ground floor. She heard the knocking sounds and first "Boom" after seeing the water pouring into the garage. She told her kids to run and she was right behind them! She was with a security guard who witnessed it too. Look up her story. Her last name is Nir. So, here is my question .... has everyone in all the - still standing parts of the building - been evacuated since that night and not returned ? I imagine so, but I have not heard a word about that in any news or by googling.
@LaLa-qf1qz3 жыл бұрын
Yep, they all evacuated. They are planning to demolish that building since a concrete pillar in the tower left standing was reported today to sway 6-12 inches, which is why rescue efforts halted for most of the day for the safety of the crew. Other buildings around the area are now being checked my structural engineers before giving the residents the ok to go back in. But if I was there you couldn’t pay me to go back to a building near that site. Hope this helps, I got all this from CNN, they got detailed hourly updates but if you have any questions or speculations, comment back!
@funguy4utube3 жыл бұрын
@@LaLa-qf1qz thanks for the answer …. Boy that is rough … thanks for the detailed answer. I realize it is good for them to be out alive but still a rather shocking scenario to be chased out of your home at 1:30 a.m. “as is” then wait for two weeks unable to return and then as per today’s news not allowed to return before they demolish your home with all your belongings. I would have let them sign a waiver to go in for an hour - their risk. But that’s me …. Not saying it’s right

She lost her home and all of her belongings. Maybe she had a loan to finance the apartment. Better believe the bank will still expect her to pay that off. So not having a roof over her head and still having to pay for one... not many people can afford that.
@orion67463 жыл бұрын
This whole situation is sad and horrible. But when I hear "gofundme" for someone that could afford to live there. Really. I honestly am not a fan of GoFundMe. If my house burned down tomorrow, I'd still have to pay my next mortgage payment I assume but if my insurance doesn't kick in in time. I'd take a loan out of the bank. I wouldn't ask people to help me out. I'm a single mother, 65K year salary in a $121k house and I don't get child support. I'd rent a small apartment to get by. If I have to file bankruptcy then that's what I'd do. Anyways off my soap box on go fund me. Again this whole situation there is beyond sad for the ones that past and the survivors.
