I am an eye witness to this investment. I had the pleasure of visiting Lodwar and witnessed first hand his investment . He is large on the ground n very humble, down to earth person who is well connected with the Islamic community on the ground. Congregations my brother, I am personally proud of you. Your achievements is ours too. Thank you for looking after me n my friend when we visited Lodwar for our Christmas celebrations. We felt safe throughout our stay in Lodwar because at the mention of your name only earned us volunteers willing to guide us to any destination of interest within the locality.

Maybe Kenya should now endeavour to interconnect all counties' towns with rail links too. Looks like once logistical problems are solved and good infrastructure of road network is in place, towns and regions begin to rapidly grow and attract various diverse business opportunities.

Super impressive! That guy is a visionary. Imagine he opened a bookshop in Lodwar in year 2000s when simple logic would have dictated that you do business in vending daily human consumables like food, water, fuel etc? He was seeing far ahead.

A very great and informative content Aleki. I have been to Lodwar twice, in 2016 when we traveled with Nissan Navara. The vehicle broke down twice, on our way to Lodwar and back to Kitale. The second time I decided to use a psv and most of the PSV's were landcrusers due to the poor road conditions. I never wanted to be back to that town but from what I have seen, that is 💯 % transformation and I won't mind traveling back to Lodwar on a small car. Thank you to our national and county governments for opening up this small town. I am glad that citizens in these area can easily access food, fresh water, good housing, medical services, clothing and education. @alex Bring many County contents so that we can see such transformations and where governors have totally refused to work for people but instead loot the monies given to them by the national government.

i was in Lodwar last, late 2021 and I went all the way to Loki char , the NEWLY tarmacked highway has opened Turkana county and its the main artery to development. the most potential town in Turkana is Kakuma(Refugee town). The international community money fuels majority of activities here. also tourism is very vibrant here. lake Turkana is a must visit for all Kenyans.
