Just for the record, Papyrus isn't an idiot nor is he an ignorant child, he's just sarcastic (does anyone listen to his phone calls in Undertale?). Seriously, he's well-spoken and well-versed in electrical engineering and you think he doesn't have the brain power to realize what's going on around him, or when he's being insulted? He even says he's playing Portal 2 at the beginning of the first video, meaning he's not confused about anything, he's just playing a role like other KZbinrs do.

I'm 2 years late, but I think that each of the cubes (and sphere) have different voices in Papyrus's head. Cubical Friend and Redirect have similar voices, but Redirect has a bit of reverb, due to being mostly made of glass. They also have a voice like a 10 year old boy. Pink has a female voice, gender indeterminate. Sphere is just the voice of a stereotypical hillbilly. Reply if your opinion is different, and like if you agree. Edit: When she "freshens the air up a little," she might mean that she somehow separates the carbon from the oxygen, which allows Papyrus to breathe essentially infinitely.
