Various Chandelure tips: The initial pendulum motion's movement can be controlled (Ie. Left and right in duel phase.) It is recommended that you have a support that gives a status buff, since it allows you to either negate or recover from the negative statuses of overheat. (dual phase up A/ 8A) Speaking of overheat, it is recommended you use it near the end (-170) of your opponent's health bar for a quick match end. Finally, if you're playing Pokken Tournament DX on the switch, here's a little gimmick for what is the strongest single attack in the game. (Superior in damage to Gengar's burst attack.) First, it requires Mew and thus the second DLC pack to attain. You debuff your opponent with wil-o-wisp (standing/5A) and defog (forward/6A), use Mew, and if you get both possible buffs, use hex. (Down/ 2A) Note that you have to be in duel phase to use hex, but if you set everything up right, hex should do upwards of 300+ damage. (Note that you don't need both attack up and all critical hits for this to still do major damage, but without them it isn't the strongest attack in the game by any means.)

Chandelure also has great air attacks. Twin Flamethrowers for spacing, Laser, Ground Pound, Spin Attack which gives chandelure a lot of speed in the air, and Incinerate.

Chandelure is my favorite pokemon and when I saw it was revealed for Pokkemon Tournament, I was in love ! But I hate when people spam lasers... Come on, you can do so much more with it !

For my support, I use Espeon to help counter its negative buffs from Overheat, and extra hp to help it’s defensiveness

A pretty big point that I don't know if you mentioned is that all of his pokemon attacks break counter(except the grab, which results in a critical)

Since Overheat is garbage when debuffed, I actually prefer the Espeon set, since it makes it easier to recover in situations where you're desperate to get the opponent off you. Cresselia does the same job, but I prefer Umbreon to Reshi as he adds a debuff. Also, why is it I never see anyone use Up Y on duel phase? It works as a decent anti air for me, and even hits bigger opponents like Charizard and Machamp on the ground. Is there a downside to it I'm missing? Few more things in terms of field phase. One, I find that side Y seems to beat a lot of projectiles, and I mean A LOT. Maybe there's something else going on there, I dunno. Just thought it'd be something to bring up. And be careful using side Y. Fast characters like Weavile can just outrun the projectiles and close in if you aren't careful.

I Use side Y personally I prefer fenniken and emolga since you cant be grabbed when using emolga and speed debuff is the best debuff chandalure debuff since she can't manually give though also i prefer normal A in field phase since it cant be counter attacked and does shield damage also if they keep avoiding williwisp is to long for them to out run it forcing them into air where they just get hit with flame burst

Nice guide! As a Chandelure main, I can say that your advice is spot on. Personally, I use Emolga and Fennekin as my support set, but I'll have to give your suggestion a try. Fennekin is a good "get off me" support to help against Chandelure's main counters (Weavile and Garchomp) when they try to combo you into a corner, whereas Emolga debuffs the opponent to power up hex, as well as slowing them down, which helps since Chandelure is quite slow. But anyways, a great video as usual! :D

Would you say that Mismagius is good too? I use her similarly to how you use Fennekin but since it also gives Chandelure a buff, u can then use buffed overheat or simply pack on more damage. I feel like the push back from Mismagius could even set up for Smog and you can prbly get a powerful Hex from there. Idk tho I havent tried it. It just occured to me haha

Points barely matter. Not only are the buffs a lot smaller than they'd seem, but most tournaments also disable skill points. Most people default to putting all their skill points into Attack, but don't worry about it too much. As for a good support, I'd personally recommend Espeon to help get rid of the debuffs from Overheat.

are you going to need help with charzard? he's more of a mid ranged character that's got some good mix ups with his up a. also don't under estimate his Arial projectile, you can move while it charges and if done right can combo into itself and most other moves.

Gardevoir you actually want to not use your projectiles stay up close she can out range you as for suicune keep him out the air with up Y up X or backwards A all in dual phase also get stray hexes off

+cronical246 it still has some pretty good close range attacks that end up pushing the opponent back. Also counter attacks or overheat can deal with up close opponents. Oh, and for step 1 I would recommend counter canceling instead of guarding
