Your talking about schools and economic areas in chandler but you glossed over the largest high school in our state; Hamilton high. Which is a few miles down Arizona avenue and is one of the nicest parts of chandler.

I would live in Tempe or Phoenix especially near the downtown areas because they have greatly improved and have been booming. There is alot of opportunities especially in the medical field.

When I lived in Tempe back in the late 70"s it was all open desert between Chandler and Tempe now it is all developed . Also its hard to believe Highway 60 ended at the Dobson exit at that time !!

Ray ended before Price Rd. Lots of sheep farms. Was there when Used Cars was filmed in Mesa. My Dad was a deputy sheriff for Maricopa. It was a different time, different people.

All the people coming into Chandler, etc., drive up all the prices for the homes and apartments. Many seniors are now homeless because of the rise in living costs.

You are closest to Chandler height and queen queek area by basha school, south Chandler is more closest to Chandler high school, Arizona ave between Frye rd and pecos rd is what we called southside.

Chandler is a lovely city. I lived and worked there during 2006-2008. I hope you would stop by a few interesting places in Chandler such as Coffee Rush on W Ray Rd, the lovely Desert Breeze Park. In summer it gets beastly hot but it is manageable. Plenty of lovely cities to drive to: Sedona, Flagstaff...

So should I focus on looking to move within the following zip codes in Chandler if I want the nicer areas and better schools?: 85286, 85248, and 85249? My daughter will be entering the 7th grade when we move there next summer, and according to greatschools.org, these schools are highly ranked-Legacy Traditional School, Chandler, Basis Chandler, Santan Jr. High, Bogle Junior High, Basha Junior and Senior High, and Hamilton High. Is this information true?

I don’t live in Chandler so I couldn’t tell you what zip codes or schools are best, but we use greatschools.org to find school information and we trust the accuracy. You also can use the Arizona Department of Education site to get school report cards. Of course, if you haven’t already it’s good to check the crime ratings on the zip codes to make sure it fulfills your criteria for safety.

It's a great place to live for the last ten years before you die: Lots of golf courses, gun ranges and walled communities. Just don't go outside between May and September unless you want to spontaneously combust.

Yes, during monsoon season (June through September) you run the risk of haboobs all across the Valley. Haboobs are most common during late June, early July.

What time in the day were you driving? The traffic seems so light in every one of your car touring videos. Is it really that good for the most part once outside the downtown PHX core?

I do almost all my driving tours on Saturday mornings around 10ish. Same time I did this video as well. Weekend traffic is lighter. Traffic on the weekdays are a different story (on the highways at least). Not as bad as say LA and the like but it can get heavy and even stand still during rush hours. The residential street traffic isn’t too bad and it’s pretty easy to get around in most places.

I live in Chandler I don't have HOA that's the reason why I bought this house because they told me it has no HOA but one day I got a notice on my door that I was getting fined $2,500 for weeds that were growing in my front yard by the city of Chandler I was so pissed...... they weren't even that bad I was so livid... in my neighborhood you have to have your yard clean up to the city standards!!! our trash cans have to be washed and look clean it's ridiculous and this ain't even HOA this is the city of Chandler!!!!!!

Maybe some parts of Tempe, though i wouldn’t get too close to the University. Queen Creek seems more affordable as well and seems like a nice, upcoming area. Some of my personal favorites like Gilbert and Chandler are getting pretty pricey so I can’t really recommend those areas because of that. And the West Valley is cheaper and more affordable in general.

My wife and I will be relocating to the area in the next month, I will be starting a new job in Phoenix near Sky Harbor airport. We're looking to buy a house either in Chandler or Gilbert. Within Chandler, do you recommend homes west of 101 or east of 101 in terms of good schools and low crime? We don't want to go south of 202, because that'll be too far of a commute.

Probably East of the 101 but it really depends. Best to do some research. Find specific properties you like, then get on the web and research those neighborhoods and school ratings.
