ooo i'm reading stay sweet right now and devouring it, i thought it was gonna be just a stupid summer read but it's turning out to have a lot of substance and just be so addictive! also the teenagers actually sound like teenagers rather than what adults think teenagers sound like, which is much appreciated

Oooh I’ll have to read the Aly Martinez duet! I’m sooo happy you’ve been loving all of the romance lately. I loved the Simple Wild! I also read Fix Her Up a few months ago and gave it four stars. Your issues with Georgie and her family are why I knocked it down a star. You should try Laura Thalassa! I read Pestilence, which is an apocalypse novel! Loved it!

OH NA NA WHAT'S HER FUCKING NAME!!!! When i tell you i yelled and then started singing the Rihanna song 😂 I saved Fix Her Up on Scribd to listen to this month (maybe) because of how good the smutt is according to literally everyone i follow on twitter. I'm also 30ish % through Birthday and it's really good so far! I was gonna finish it before the end of June but that...obviously didn't happen! Happy reading ❤

The Simple Wild is PERFECTLY described as an unproblematic new adult book hahaha. But while we are on the subject of dark romance you N E E D to read Long Shot by Kennedy Ryan. I think you’ll really enjoy it

I think the Past and Other Things that Should Stay Buried shouldn't be your intro to SDH. It's definitely not his best but having read in the very least We Are the Ants since it's very illustrative of why he writes the way he does and how to get something out of his books. In the SDH I have read, he uses speculative elements to explore a hard topic and I understand that might not be the most apparent in the Past and Other Things that Should Stay Buried.

You mentioned before that you will stop supporting Elle Kennedy because she said she has no interest in writing an F/F romance. Now in the grand scheme of things, I don't consider her saying that "cancel" worthy. She didn't hurt anybody and actually reflected on what she said. I'm mentioning this because you talked about Birthday by Meredith Russo and I don't know if you know this but she's actually a wife and child abuser. Now if you were the kind to separate the art from the artist I wouldn't be saying anything, but you've advocated against reading authors who've done shitty things, so shouldn't you not be reading and recommending books by her.
